Hopefully the Sox got out ahead of the weather so they arrive with enough time to relax ahead of tomorrow's game. While we ponder that, I created this thread to consider the three most important issues that were decided in our abbreviated series with the Orioles:
    • The Orioles remain an awful baseball team.
    • Buck Showalter remains an awful manager.
    • Sale4CY remains angst-ridden about the future of Chris Sale based on projecting his full 2018 from the four starts to date.
    Discuss.

Thread for tomorrow's game will be created late tonight.

Depression.....I so love the Patriot's Day game. It's completely unfair to have it washed out. I believe the baseball gods owe us a World Series sweep (of the Mets preferrably) for this outrage!

I know. A nice 8 o’clock (for me) game gone, like breakfast at Wimbledon or something for tennis fans. Will be nice to see our boys play in Anaheim sans ski/bank robber masks though.

I was going back and forth between Cs and Sox during the games yesterday, did not know that Sale's pitch count was at 93, was alarmed that he was out after just 5 innings and immediately mollified when I heard his pitch count was what it was, particularly given the craptastic weather.

Parenthetically, did Eck and O'Brien ever discuss/speculate as to why he was out at that point? I didn't hear it if they did. All I heard was there discussion of Hembree when he came in.

If Sale is operating with a pitch cont limit of 93 in June, I will be concerned. Now, not so much.

As to there being no game today, that the Bruins are playing at 7 PM salves the wound for me.

    On to Ohtani.

Sale said afterwards that he had never before been so miserable on a baseball field. Cora considered taking him out after four. The weather was the reason.

The silver lining is we still have a 11am game on the schedule - July 4, in Washington DC.

Tomorrow night has to be one of the most hyped up April games ever. Hope it lives up to the billing

Glad we won, going into off day with a loss is terrible.

Rest up, get ready to face Ohtani.

The weather gods owe us a million times more than the baseball gods, what kind of sacrifice can we make to get them to stop killing spring?

Yeah the kind of "dirty water" we didn't want.
