"Laying up for par here is the smart move. The gap you have to make on the second shot is really tight and you can either confidently get through it or try for distance, but not both. Getting into the trees on this hole can cost you strokes, so the risk/reward for birdie here just isn't worth it. There are other holes that can be birdied on this course, and those are the ones that should be attacked today with this crosswind".

Edit: not all the time, but for sure when I'm out on the course

Unless I'm missing something, one more point in the last two guarantees the B's home ice absent a Tampa (or Calgary in the SCF) matchup throughout the playoffs

Ditto if Washington drops a point
