Between here and everywhere.
May the ghosts of playoffs past be everlasting in the heads of the TML over the next 32+ hours.

May the spirit of Neely Cat lead the Bruins forward.

10 years ago today Tony the Pony, @goyangfc, @PedroSpecialK, Sach, and myself watched on as Les Habitants were swept in their own barn by YOUR Boston Bruins.

One of the scariest, and most satisfying nights of my life.
Ahem.

That night, Tony the Pony and I also had beers in Peel Pub with Brickley and Bob Beers after...meeting some of the local Canadien female fans. What a night. Just wish I could remember what we talked about with Brickley and Beers.

Never ever go beer for beer with TtP.

That’s right!! I thought you may have been there also.

I think Brick and Beers showed up like 5 minutes after we left. And if I remember correctly we left early cause GoYang could no longer handle himself.

What a night.

TtP backing down Habs fans in their native language will forever be a highlight of my life.

We just walked up to Brickley and Beers in our Boston jerseys and just said congrats, we're big fans, and thanks and they just invited us to take a seat and have a round, which turned into many rounds. They were both super nice, only regret is that cell phone cameras weren't really a thing or I would have gotten a pic.

Brick HATES Montreal. It's not an act.

He always had solid edge work. Look at that cut.
In the house tonight. I'm not a big jersey guy but breaking out the #8 no doubt.

Oh lord, that night I passed out before I could even let TtP and TFP into my place as they were gonna crash there. Big oops

edit: though in retrospect, considering their ...ahem company, may not have been the worst thing in the world

Gonna be a long 10+ hours before gametime

There was no company at that point. Just needed a place to sleep and had to find a hotel open with rooms at 2am.

I'm at my parents, "working" and watching my mother again today. My dad won't be home until just before game time so I'll be watching from here.

Win tonight. Win and then win some more. After that, win.

I am 100% worthless at work today again.
Yes. Thankfully boss is heading out soon--so I don't even need to fake it.

Sox at 1, Tottenham at 2:45, then get the fuck outta here.

I'm nervous watching Game 7s for other teams. Tonight is gonna be crazy.

I'm pretty pumped, I had a dream about going to this game last night. Was around all these piss drunk, heavily accented Leafs fans, who constantly wanted to get by my sightline to use the bathroom. Bruins scored one early, didn't let up, score held, they won.

LFG!

Really hoping for a fairly stress free night. I wonder if Toronto players sphincters are as tight as the fans. Also if you are going to show the 'square' celebrate, you need to show us the sadness and despair as well.

A lesson I never learned despite many attempts. The last time we went out we had a couple of quiet beers at Ducali after I had a practice at the North End Rink. The time before that I was turned down at 4 or 5 bars around the city...I think someone got a photo of a bunch of us at the Tavern and I'm wearing Tony's XXXL Millwall FA Cup final shirt and drinking straight from a pitcher.

I forgot you clowns made that trip up. What a night.

My Toronto fan friend is apoplectic. Losing to Boston again is going to drive him nuts. I love him like a brother, but I would love torturing him again.

Go B's!

Definitely not. Maritimes is 50/50 MTL/TO

Let’s gooooooo
There are a lot more Bruins fans in Nova Scotia than I expected. I got the impression a lot of people felt culturally closer to New England than non-maritime Canada, especially Quebec. Well, except for the Acadians.

I digress. I'll be in the house tonight, lets fucking go!

Yeah Bruins fans are pretty popular too but leafs & mtl are more. I also work at a hockey company that is all for those two teams & im the only Bruins fan. Tomorrow is either gonna be all time good or all time bad.

Enjoy being in the building! Would be incredible!!

That happens to be about five feet long.

In the simulacrum
Don't all Canadian fans outside of Ontario (plus Senators fans) hate the Leafs?
For many of the Canadians I know, there has developed a playoff nationalism where Canadians watch the bracket, anxiously grappling with the moment where there are no Canadian teams left in their 'National' Hockey League.

It has now been since 1993 when the Canadiens won. And there have not been tons of Canadian teams even losing the finals either.

In any case, let's add 2019 to the list tonight.
