Played hard this series, but the discipline reflects on the coaching, as well.

Couldn't give less of a fuck how much of a penalty it was or wasn't. Bruins were robbed throughout this series and still took it just about the distance. Not bad for a bridge year.

I can stomach losing a series when the other team is just better but the officiating in this series has me feeling robbed.

Backes, Pasta, Marchand were all bad. Morrow and Liles are not good. It's amazing the series was so close. Some of the young players came up big in tough spots. Good experience for the young guys. Hopefully they're healthier next year

I'm still very proud of this team. As long as Neely doesn't fuck it up and trade Pastrnak they should be gearing up for another run.

The good news is how hard the Bruins played with a insanely depleted roster. Team looks promising going into next year.

D: Chara-McAvoy
Krug - Carlo
?? - Miller

I assume McQuaid goes to Vegas but that top 6 looks pretty good, especially if a kid like Lauzon or Zboril with some offensive upside take a step next year and make the team.

Ottawa wasn't the better team. They fluked their way into the playoffs with fucking loser points, and got away with dirty bullshit and gift calls all series. Fuck 'em.

Bruins were not going to win Cup. Nonetheless they battled and frankly got jobbed. The integrity of the team is good. The integrity of the NHL is in question. Why watch?

Officiating standard is incredibly frustrating. Oh well. Fuck the Senators.

B's battled hard. All you can ask. Injures caught up to them, they had no scoring depth.

This team had some balls I'll tell you. Fun unit to go into next year with fully healthy and hopefully some key moves for another D-man and another scorer.
Id assume a veteran 7th d type?

I've got them with
Chara-mcavoy
Krug-Carlo
Miller-Miller

That's with McQaid going to Vegas but Ogara, Grzylek, Lauzon and Zboril waiting in Providence.

The good news is a full year of McAvoy with late arrivals such as Lauzon and Zboril possible, the defence should be formidable next year.

Now, barring a huge leap by Senyshyn or DeBrusk, the forward depth could be an issue again next season. Backes, Hayes, and Beleskey are about $11 million worth of dead weight going forward, and kids like Acciari, Vatrano, and Schaller aren't the solutions to that problem.

Come on Norm, that was too obvious of a penalty by Pasternak, he tackled the guy. That being said Ottawa will be lucky to win one game vs New York.
I'm talking about the sequence before the penalty when the Bruins had a breakaway and the Senator grabbed his stick. No call. Or the Bruins having to win a two OT game 5-2. Or Ryan embellishing a penalty in game 3 in a way that a Series A player would have been proud of. Pasternak did interfere; but why not call it both ways?

I don't think it's fair to put Vatrano in that group. He missed 3 months with a foot injury and showed flashes at times. I'm excited to see him with a full healthy offseason.

Unlike when the OTT player broke his stick and then tackled the B's player on a partial breakaway about 5min earlier??? The announcers had even commented that the standard had been set. That standard was no whistles unless it is a delay of game or possibly too many men. I can't recall a worse officiated series.

It absolutely was a penalty, but so was the post-broken stick takedown by Ceci as the puckcarrier is breaking into the zone on what would have been a prime scoring chance. Can't pocket the whistles for only one team and not expect the consistency of the officiating to be called into question.

Or the leg check that was a penalty in this game but cost the Bruins Colin Miller for 4 games and Krejci for this one. There was no consistency, as usual with this league.

Frustrating that 3 of the 4 losses are directly attributable to miserable officiating
True, although they lost this series in exactly the same fashion as they played earlier this year: shitty play at home and a lack of goal-scoring.

Yes, rationally, injuries were a huge problem for this series. Yes, the refs were awful. Yes, I am happy they made the playoffs at all given where they were in the middle of the season. But it's really frustrating to see them lose in this way. I know they aren't great at goal scoring, especially with all the injuries. But I don't understand why they can't win at home. They couldn't pull any of these close games out?

Bah. Good second half of the year. But this series was hockey blue balls.

Silver lining: Joe Morrow may have earned himself a one way deal as D7
Wait what? I thought he played himself out of the organization this series. If I see one more stretch pass icing from him I'll have a heart attack.

Shitty ending to an incredibly frustrating series. No one to really blame either (on the team...officials be damned). I'm incredibly optimistic for the future and they are gonna have a great team next year if they don't fuck it up.

I absolutely think Marchand had a hand/wrist/arm injury. He didn't look like the same player at all.

As always they could stand to get faster overall. They had to work way too hard for everything.
How many goddamn years have we been saying this? The years they had team speed they won the Cup, won the East conference and won the President's Trophy? As soon as Cam got more power that went out the window. Cam doesn't believe in speed.

He filled in top 4 minutes and didn't murder them. I thought he'd fall on his face
