Matt Kent managed five scoreless innings, giving up two hits while whiffing seven. Tyler Thornburg gave up two runs on two hits and a walk while getting only two outs. Adam Lau picked up the final four outs, one by way of the K.

Luke Tendler launched a single and a double while drawing a walk in three trips. Danny Mars mashed a single and a double while earning a free pass in four matchups. Cole Sturgeon and Tate Matheny each managed two hits in four sessions; Sturgeon with a double, Matheny with a pair of triples. Chad De La Guerra golfed a single and was hit by a pitch in four appearances. Conrad Gregor, Jhon Nunez, and Nick Lovullo each laced a single in three at-bats. Jimenez complete game leads to Dogs sweep, second game ends like the first at 7-2.

Dedgar Jimenez yielded two runs on two hits – including a Patrick Mazeika moonshot in the seventh – a hit by pitch, and a walk; whiffing nine. Jimenez was perfect through three before giving up a double to begin the fourth. The first run scored in the sixth when Jimenez hit Tim Tebow and then walked Champ Stuart, with Tebow eventually scoring after a pair of force outs. Jimenez through 90 pitches in his seven inning stint.

Chad De La Guerra and Tony Renda each reached on two singles and a walk in four trips. Luke Tendler launched a solo homer and hit a single in three treks. Jeremy Rivera and Cole Sturgeon each ripped two singles in four sessions. Austin Rei reached on a single in three at-bats. Tate Matheny took a walk and struck out three times. Danny Mars and Tanner Nishioka (in his season and AA debuts) each failed to reach in three forays.

William Cuevas surrendered five runs – four earned – on eight hits and two walks over four frames; striking out three. Brandon Workman worked two scoreless innings, giving up two hits and striking out a quartet. Bobby Poyner walked one and struck out one in the seventh. Williams Jerez yielded a run on two hits and an intentional walk in the eighth.

Aneury Tavarez tripled and singled in four at-bats. Jantzen Witte whipped a triple and walked twice in four jaunts. Jeremy Barfield blooped a single and took a base on balls in four appearances. Mike Miller and Jordan Betts each had a hit in four matchups; Betts with a double. Mike Ohlman obtained three free passes in five trips. Mike Olt walked once amid four hitless attempts. Bryan Mata surrendered seven runs – six earned – on six hits and two walks over just 1 2/3 innings; whiffing one. Daniel Gonzalez gave up two runs on seven hits – including a Jodd Carter jack – and three walks over 3 1/3 frames; striking out four. Joan Martinez managed two scoreless innings, yielding a hit, a hit by pitch, a balk, and two walks while whiffing one. Durin O'Linger also pitched two innings, giving up two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out a pair.

[Of the 18 hits Greenville gave up, Jodd Carter's homer was the ONLY non-single. Impressive!]

Jordan Wren, Isaias Lucena, and Bobby Dalbec each delivered two hits in four jaunts; Lucena with a double, Dalbec with HR #6. Chris Madera managed a single and a walk in four matchups.
