Travis Lakins let in four runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk over 2 2/3 innings; striking out one. Teddy Stankiewicz went the final 6 1/3 frames in scoreless fashion, giving up five hits and whiffing seven.

Danny Mars mashed a double and two singles in five matchups. Jhon Nunez notched two singles in four jaunts. Chad De La Guerra and Jantzen Witte each had a single and a double in five at-bats. Nick Lovullo laced a single in three tries after replacing Tony Renda who was hit by a pitch in two trips. Josh Ockimey obtained a single and a sacrifice fly in four appearances. Tate Matheny and Luke Tendler each had a hit in four attempts; Matheny with a double. Jeremy Rivera suffered four fizzled forays.

Chandler Shepherd surrendered two runs (one earned) on seven hits – including a Willians Astudillo long ball – abd a walk over six frames; striking out three. Austin Maddox gave up a hit and whiffed one in the seventh. Tyler Thornburg did the same in the eighth.

Aneury Tavarez tapped two singles and drew a walk in four appearances; he was also picked off then caught stealing. Sam Travis doubled once and struck out three times. Cole Sturgeon stung a single in four sessions. Dan Butler walked three times in four tries. Dustin Pedroia walked twice in four attempts. Mike Olt struck out in his only opportunity after replacing Jordan Betts who struck out thrice. Tzu-Wei Lin, Rusney Castillo, and Ivan De Jesus each suffered four futile forays.

PawSox left nine on base and were a woeful 0-for-10 with runners in scoring position.

Enmanuel De Jesus yielded a run on a solo roundtripper by Ryan Kirby; allowing two other singles in six innings of work while whiffing ten. Marcos Lantigua let in a run on a hit and a wild pitch over two frames; striking out a quartet. Dominic LoBrutto gave up a single and struck out one in the ninth.

Lorenzo Cedrola collected three singles and a hit by pitch in his four forays; he was also caught stealing. Ricardo Cubillan and Samuel Miranda each ripped a single in three matchups. Victor Acosta and Frankie Rios each reached with a walk in four ventures. Everlouis Lozada, Zach Sterry, Marino Campana, and Michael Osinski each had four excruciating excursions.
