Justin Haley handed Norfolk only a single run over seven frames; giving up five hits and striking out six. Kyle Martin pitched two perfect innings, whiffing a trio.

Tzu-Wei Lin led the way with a single, a walk, and the lead-off homer before giving way to Mike Miller in the bottom of the fourth, who went 0-for-2. Cole Sturgeon and Rusney Castillo each contributed two hits in five sessions; Sturgeon with a double and a stolen base, Castillo with his first round tripper of the season. Sam Travis and Ivan De Jesus each thumped a single in four tries. Aneury Tavarez singled once and stole a base in five appearances. Ramon Flores took two walks to first in four forays. Mike Olt obtained a walk and a hit by pitch in four matchups. Dan Butler suffered four unsuccessful ups.

Josh Smith allowed four runs (two earned) on four hits and two hit by pitches over two innings; striking out a trio. Trevor Kelley pitched a perfect eighth with one K.

Jantzen Witte and Chad De La Guerra each contributed two hits in four trips; De La Guerra with a double and a stolen base. Josh Ockimey jacked a solo homer in the first and drew a base on balls in four jaunts. Jeremy Rivera ripped a double in four at-bats. Austin Rei reached on a walk in three appearances. Jhon Nunez notched three unsuccesful ups. Tate Matheny, Josh Tobias, and Luke Tendler each suffered four futile forays.
