So I turn on NESN Sports Update (or whatever the show is called) for the first time in forever this morning, only to find this fine young woman hosting the show:
So: 1) who is she 2) when did she start 3) how did I miss that 4) can we please get her as the full time Red Sox field reporter (sorry, Guerin)?

Kacie McDonnell. Started in the fall. She's been a sideline reporter in the past. She also has a history of dating athletes (including Christian Ponder and Eric Hosmer), so maybe the Sox sideline gig isn't the best idea for her.
Well the way I see it, that makes her, like, even more perfect for the job. Tradition, and all that.

Yup, she only needed a cup of coffee at NESN in order to be ready to anchor SportsCenter. Crazy!
Sure I remember her, she was the host of "NESN SportsDesk" back in the pre-HD, pre-Hazel Mae days. Same era as when Bob Rodgers and Jim Corsi were hosting the postgame Extra Innings show IIRC.

Actually, this helps: Guerin can step in and take over Clubhouse. She kinda has that hot schoolmarm thing going. Kids will love her! And it frees up the sideline reporter job for Kacie. Everybody wins!
