It's like BB wants everything done today so he can take a long weekend.

Fantastic news. Love this and maybe Harmon coming back. Not as sexy as the other news but a huge help to stabilize the D.

Brown, Branch and Valentine have proven to be a stout DT rotation. Love getting Branch back into the fold.

Miguel/patscap tweet (sorry don't know how to embed) says "up to" probably means incentives in there.

Today is the absolute tits thus far.
Just need the Jets to sign Cutler now.

Seriously, so far so good. I'd prefer to keep Butler for one more year to have the best defensive backfield in the league than add Cooks, but WTF do I know.

That's a great deal. I can't complain about the years or dollars. Very happy to have Branch back.

Having cap space is fun!

I was enjoying it till I went to Bovada and saw they didn't have SB lines up yet. No jinx!
They don't have it up today, but they have in the past. The best you can get at books is about +450 or +475, which is insane. Cognitive biases cause people to overvalue recent winners. About a month ago, I was able to find a lesser book that had them at +650, and I placed my bet there.

Hey, when the choices are between an apparent lockdown secondary or what would appear to be a ridiculous offense (grab that TD record back from Manning) no one is a loser here.

Except the other 31 teams.

Nice piece by Reiss on the Branch deal. I liked this nugget:

Branch's view: In a recent interview on Sirius XM NFL Radio, Branch said things changed for him in 2014 when the Patriots first signed him during the season. He hoped to return but said finances would be part of his consideration. "I revamped my love of football even more so since I've been with the Patriots," Branch told Sirius. "I'm just ready to play some good ball. Usually in the offseason, it seems like it goes too fast, but I'm champing at the bit to get out there again to start playing."

Glad to have him back, was a real key on defense last year. Hope he avoids any sort of suspensions going forward and continues to garner BB compliments for consistency.

One of my favorite moments from the SB was Branch trotting off the field after that critical fumble recovery, holding the ball up like a waiter carrying an ice cream cone, with a nonchalant, "ho-hum, look what I found" air about him. Classic.
