Thought I'd ask here because the dedicated forums for this kind of stuff have so much noise, including the google groups.

I'm having a weird but very annoying issue with my phone. It's a Pixel. I drive a 2016 Mazda 3 which I believe Mazda still uses Ford's firmware for how BT connects. I could be wrong.

My issue is this - when I dial out, I get no sound for the ring. It correctly discontinues my music, but I get silence. So I never know if the dialer is still trying to connect or if the phone is ringing, or even if the person has picked up. Now, I'm pretty sure once the person picks up everything starts to work, but there is a slight delay. This did not happen with my previous phone (LG G3)

This is annoying as hell. I can't understand why the Android flagship running the "cleanest and purist" software would have BT connection issues. Obviously the problem could be specific to my car and the the version of Android. I know the car companies are giant douches about their own software.

Everything else works as it should, though I did have to go through the process of clearing my BT cache the last time Android updated, as literally everything in the interface stopped working right. This is a known issue that a ton of people had. My other issue seems more rare.
