A Lost Time
The irony is that Karius got Mignolet's spot in the starting 11 because Mignolet allowed a similar goal vs Arsenal.

California. Duh.
I'm strangely over it already. I mean...lose your best player, your keeper hands them two goals, their 80 million pound sub scores a world class one...it just wasn't meant to be tonight.

Build on it, improve the depth, and come back stronger.

I feel bad for LP fans; and Salah who was taken out in a Dwyane Wade-type play by Ramos. I really hope he’s okay for the WC; but it doesn’t look good.

I think I may have to give up on this sport if I have to watch Ramos win a World Cup in a few weeks.

Yeah I was prepared for a loss. Losing Salah early really sucked... tough to come back from that and 2 awful goalkeeping errors.

On the plus side I thought Lovren, Mané, Wijnaldum, and Robertson were outstanding.

Keita’s in with Can headed out, Fekir likely in (how great would having a player of that caliber off the bench have been), and add a goalie who isn’t the German Chuck Knoblauch and they’re back in business

I thought TAA looked good, as well. 19 years old, and didn't look like the moment was bigger than him at any point. Almost scored one, too.
He was fantastic tonight. Imagine being 19 and going up against Ronaldo on a CL final? He was starring at ManU when TAA was only 4 years old! And tonight he more than held his own.

Lallana never really looked part of the team out there. It’s been a completely lost season for him. For the sake of depth, he needs to come back strong next season, full of energy and dribbles.

Salah will play at the World Cup. It’s Egypt’s first ever. Salah would have to be dead not to force his way on to the pitch, and even then...

I do feel for Karius. It’s going to be a long road back from this. Good luck onto him. All of a sudden, £80m for Allison doesn’t seem so steep.

This Madrid team winning 3 Champions League titles in a row should be the story coming out of the game, instead Ronaldo has hinted he is leaving and Bale almost seems pissed off in his interviews after the match and said he and his agent will sit down and discuss his future during the summer.

With Neymar rumored to be wanting to go to Real this transfer season will be crazy.

My brother and I have been talking for months how Bale is the wide player who is being pushed out, but Neymar plays on the left - Which is Ronnie’s location. Even if they moved Benz with the idea of making Ronaldo a #9, he and Neymar would still get in each other’s way. Someone’s status quo has to change. They would be much worse off by moving Ronaldo, but it makes sense if they keep Bale and sign Neymar.

But I suspect that by this time next week Ronaldo will have signed a new contract.

Even if Ramos had been sent off it would not have been enough. I have no doubt that Ramos intended to take Salah out of the game. I also have no doubt that if you asked Liverpool fans whether the tradeoff of Ramos being sent off and RM playing with 10 for 60 minutes was worth the loss of Salah and the answer would be no. So why not do it from Ramos' perspective? What penalty or sanction could have deterred him? It's the final - what does missing the next game matter? And what if Salah now has to miss the World Cup, when his emergence as a national hero for Egypt and for all of Africa is one of the biggest stories in football? http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-44252495

It sucks and it stinks and it sucks.

Let's play "pair-up CR7-era Real Madrid players with Torre-era Yankees players".

Marcelo : Rivera. Good-natured likeable guy (with world-class talent) on an otherwise highly hateable team
Benzema : A-Rod. Always under-rated, might be their best player, but also more than a bit of an asshole
Modric : Bernie Williams. Competent, but mostly just happy to be there, stays out of fights
Ronaldo : Jeter. I probably don't even have to explain this one.
Ramos : Posada, or Gary Sheffield?

Drawing a blank on Bale (CC Sabathia?) and Kroos.

I don’t think Ramos did it on purpose. I think he certainly means to drag salah down with him to the ground but it was such a freak accident that it’s hard to say it was intentional.

After seeing the elbow he ‘accidentally’ hit the keeper with (even tho he was pushed he still left the elbow up so he’d hit him in the head) I have doubts about his intent not to injure. He grabbed the wrist and rolled onto and landed on his arm.. it’s at the least super shady.
