I somewhat agree with your feelings here in general, but by same token, I don’t see how this one is a straw man. They have 4 top 63 picks coming in a matter of days. It might be best to save the comments about not having building blocks until we see what they do with those. And it doesn’t take much effort to find people crying that the sky is falling.

Probably means that if they cut him in three weeks, the lower amount would be owed. He earns that, regardless. The higher amount includes additional guarantees that kick in over time as he plays under the contract.
