This sucks. Good shot-blocker, tough as hell, good hands, great at finding daylight for dunks in the paint.

Put everyone in bubble wrap until October.

Does anyone remember this happening during the game? Or did it not? I can’t remeber when he played his last minutes and must have missed him getting hurt.

That just means they don’t know what the meniscus looks like until they go in, I think. @radsoxfan can confirm.

In general yes, they won’t have a full sense of recovery timeline until they actually do the surgery and officially decide how to treat (repair vs trim). They probably do have a pretty good sense based on MRI appearance even at this point though.

If there currently is hope of coming back for the playoffs they may be strongly leaning to just trimming/cleaning it up based on how they expect it to look.

Press release said lateral meniscal “repair” and should be back by next year’s camp.

Probably had a displaced tear involving the majority of the meniscus and it was sutured back in place. If you trim out a huge tear like that it’ll likely lead to early arthritis and is a very bad idea unless last resort.

Season slowly slipping away....
