Other than familiarity/ comfort level, exactly what HFA would MIN have? Wouldn’t they have the visitors locker room as the NFC champion road team?
Actually playing on their own home field? Sleeping in their own beds? Presumably having a significant advantage in the crowd? I don't think the fact that they have to put on their pads in the other locker room eliminates everything else that comes with home field advantage.

While I agree generally both teams will be staying in hotels, even the Vikings.

This reminds me of the KC NE game where Hunt fumbled on his first carry and then spent 60 minutes dominating to make up for it.

The cradle of the game.

I could be wrong, but not sure there’ll be much of a crowd advantage.

The Eagles are the only NFC team the pats would beat handily, and I'd much much rather the Vikings win the super bowl than the other two if it comes to it. Get this Falcons team out asap, imo.

I don't know how that's possible. I've been to 2 Super Bowls, and both of them were well attended by fans of the teams playing, but there was still a lot of locals at the game. If the Vikings get the normal amount of fans any team would get, plus all the locals that go to the game, the crowd advantage should be significant. Maybe not as significant as a normal regular season game, but certainly not negligible either.

Minnesota is a very good team, and adding any sort of advantage like that makes me to want to avoid them at all costs. I think the best chance of avoiding them comes tomorrow when they play the Saints. I think the Saints can beat them. I'm not sure Atlanta can beat them in Minnesota or Philly can beat them anywhere.

Eagles seem like red zone should be an advantage. Ajayi, Ertz, Burton -- have to account for a lot.

No. In the case of the super bowl being in the home stadium of one of the participants, that participant, regardless of home or away designation, will be allowed to use their own locker room. They will have away team designation with regards to the coin toss and jersey.

It's unclear whether they have to stay in the Radisson Blu or can opt to sleep at home.

aren't SB tickets split 1/3 to the participating teams and the rest for the NFL?
Forgetting the split, the secondary market is where participating team fans get the tickets. Not having to worry about flights/hotel costs, MN fans could afford to bid out other fans that may have to budget in those other costs.

Never occurred to me, but can you imagine the paranoia levels that would be reached if someone had to play the SB in Gillette against the Pats?

I’m thinking NSA sweeps of the locker rooms.

I think it's patently insane to fear a Case Keenum led team over this Pats defense over Drew Brees and Alvin Kamara regardless of % of opposing fans in the crowd, and I think Keenum is pretty good.
