Just about perfect: takeaway, possession, passes to find an open lane, hard shot, rebound tap-in.
Plus they had a center (Zabinajad) trying to clear out Radulov in front, which was comical to watch from a defenseman's POV. Hank made two saves on that before Radulov got his third whack in.

The Rangers went into the shell with approximately 18 minutes left in the 3rd period. It was a pathetic display of hockey and of coaching.(holden is a turnstile and a liability and he's killing Staal too, who needs all the help he can get)

Also, in the final minute of regulation, there were approximately 5 or 6 chances for the Rangers to clear the puck and each time they whiffed and lost a bounce or were moving too slow. And, naturally, Holden and Staal were out there for the final 90 seconds of regulation.

In OT, the Canadians dominated in a laughable way. The Rangers had one scoring chance in OT, Canadians had like 10.

DoPS used LeBrun to float the "no suspension" trial balloon, the reacted when they were mocked and criticized. Going about things the wrong way, as usual.

The Capitals are in full Capital
Came of age as a kid sports fan in Boston in the 70s. Saw Red Sox team after Red Sox team spit the bit, which of course carried over to the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. Saw immensely talented Patriots teams in the 70s fall short.

Caps lack some of the flair, but little of the drama of those serial failures. Essentially, it's the same goddamn thing. And in the Caps case, it can be traced as far back as the 1980s.

I'd love watching this happen to the Caps if the Leafs weren't benefiting.
The Toronto fans and media are the absolute worst*, but they actually have a hell of a hockey team. Really fun team to watch. They are insufferable as always but at least the team is good.

* excluding Montreal

I don't foresee a day ever coming where ending John Tortorella's season isn't wonderful.
