Here we go!

Tampa/Columbus and NYI/Pittsburgh lead off tonight. NHL has finally learned scheduling, 5 games tonight all staggered starts. As a reminder, all games are on national TV. They use NBCSN, NHLN and USA.

Looking forward to seeing playoff hockey back in Nassau. The place should be bonkers.

I don’t think Columbus wins their series with Tampa, but I do think they have some ingredients that could make it an interesting

Jesus...the least Columbus can do is show the fuck up.
3-1 now and almost was 3-2. Period 1 of game 1 means nothing for the series as a whole.

That said - Tampa is much better.

Nice! I have paid no attention to that game since 2-0, given that the others have been compelling.

And side note- I want to fight Kris Letang. Just speedbag with collar clutching short jabs for 10-12 seconds before dropping him with an overhand right into his dumb mouthy gob.

Columbus has the pieces to push Tampa, or anyone really. Vezina caliber goalie, game breaker like Panarin, Norris defenseman, suitable depth.

Bruins ran Tampa out of the building in Game 1 last year.
I got married that day and didn’t see the game, or the rest of that series. I pretend game 7 against the Leafs was the last game of the year and the rest was canceled.

Totally agree, they have a lot of good pieces. Nice job CBJ on the comeback and stealing Game 1.

I'm less surprised that they won then that they had that comeback.

But as others have pointed out, Tampa is more than capable of making us forget this game in a hurry.
