I think part of it is they are constantly looking to attack, and they end up leaving the back end open. If you get passed the two man forecheck and make the right pass, you can have odd man rushes all day.
Do the Bruins have any interest in the draft lottery tonight? I cant remember if they have anyone else's picks this year.
Didnt see the logo during intermission and announcers were keyed on Ottawa. So unless it’s a if you win the lottery we get it. They don’t.
It's tampa so that helps anyway, but a game 1 day game is such a help to be a road game.
For all the sturm und drang, they kinda handled these guys easily. Bodes well if Tuukka can stay hot.

It may be early, but three things to be encouraged by from this game:
-Tuukka. He knew he wasn’t great in Game 7, and he responded. The two goals were the shittiest of shit luck goals, and he stopped everything else, including some serious ten-bell saves.
-Rick Nash, goal scorer. Him scoring gives Cooper another line to play match-up against. The more lines that Tampa has to account for, the less likely they can do what they want.
-Psychological edge. Before the 4-0 game in the regular season, the Bruins has a pretty good record against the Lightning. Taking Game 1 in such dominant fashion in Tampa, it sets a strong tone, and makes Monday a must-win for them already.

Toronto was essentially a top 6 team in NHL. Not sure I really buy underperformance
Fantastic win. 1st and 2nd lines and Tuukka were phenomenal. TB’s only goals came off a lucky deflection through a crowd and a freak skate malfunction.
