That save is the dumbest shit ever. MM had it right 20 minutes ago that it was looking like a not their night situation.

Average luck in this game gives the Bruins at least 4. Fluke save aside, Andersen wasn’t suddenly standing on his head or anything, and gave up a real softie to boot.

Just need to defend the stretch passes a bit better and finish their chances.

Hoping so. Just don't like the Leafs gaining some confidence especially Andersen. Also average officiating would've given the Bruins a couple more PP chances.
I know they botched the DOG call, but I’ll take a 1-1 penalty night on the road every single time. I’d rather they let shit go for both teams then call it tight. They usually even them up anyways, might as well cut the BS and just let them play.

Have to do a better job eliminating the Leafs stretch passes and containing their speed in game 4. Good job staying out of the box tonight other than the gift PP by the refs.

The only thing that REALLY needs to be cleaned up is the blind and/or lazy passes around the offensive blue line. Toronto came in with a concerted effort to opportunistic in this series. Just take a little more care with the puck and jump some of those stretch passes if possible. Their completion rate on those feels unsustainable. Grz back would help.

Tuukka's refugee camp
Andersen has had a horseshoe up his ass.

Edit: I mean, he’s played fairly well, but he’s been a rebound machine and with any puck luck, the Bs have 6-7 past him.
I agree. He’s sucked at gobbling up the puck so there are tons of pucks that just sit there in front.

Haven’t seen his name mentioned but Rick Nash was out to pasture for much today. Skating like nothing was going on today.

Do you think the track meet pace mitigates his skill set since he's going to be gassed? Also his conditioning can't be back to normal yet after missing so much time.

There was one play where he sent it back to the blue line and then when the defenseman sent it back to him he had completely and inexplicably vacated the area, and they lost the puck. Really weird play.

DeBrusk still brought it. He has been excellent.

This is completely anecdotal subjective evidence but this feels worlds different than some scary series in past years where it was clear that the opponent was doing things on both ends that they didn’t seem to have answers to, and just had to scratch and claw their way through 7. Still think they do enough to win the next game and finish the job at home.

In was unfortunate that they gave up goals so quickly after equalizing. Needed to keep that pressure on and make them start thinking about it more. Of course, even that isn’t really fair since they had such ridiculous chances to tie it at 3.

Yeah, they didn’t get run out of the building. They traded chance for chance, maybe even tilted the ice a bit towards the Leafs end, but in the end they hit a couple of posts and Andersen made more saves than Rask.
