Krug didn't look quite right, and Kampfer is a big liability on the PK.

Get a body back Wednesday and come out with a split

I’m still pretty zen about it all. Win Wednesday and make it a 3 game series with home ice. We got this.
Yep. The Bs didn’t play particularly well yet Toronto had to hang on at the end for the win. That bodes well in my view for game 4.

That said, they need much more from the first line and need the first power play unit to control the puck, get into a flow and create more then the zero opportunities they created last night. And the whole team needs to go back to the physical style we saw in game 2. Or at least closer to it.

I think we’ll see all of that on Wednesday.

In the simulacrum
Andersen outplayed Rask.

This is a concern. Goals 1&3, especially, seemed like pucks Rask could have had. On the first one, he just does not swallow the puck, nor move it to the outside, nor adjust at all when it is right there. On the third, he sort of just does not play the puck enough, staying home and leaving too much net to play with.

Andersen, on the other hand, is having quite the little series.

What can you do?

I don’t think Rask played poorly. Goal one was 100% on Krug and his inability to clear the zone.

Goals 2&3 were on the PP. Good puck movement by the leafs on those, not much Rask could do if the D can’t distupt that.

The 1st goal was tipped on the initial shot and just squeaked out from under his pads, hard to blame him for that one.

The 2nd goal he had no chance.

It would have nice if the could have had the 3rd goal, but he was certainly 3rd or 4th on the blame list for that goal. Can't have 2 defenders going after 1 guy below the goal line on the PK like that, and give up a point blank chance in the slot all alone.

I didn't think Andersen played any better in Game 3. Both goalies were about equal if you ask me.

If things continue as they have, one fanbase is going to be very rightly frustrated. Two of the best teams in the league, both playing very well IMO. They both can't win obviously.

But lets be real, the losing fanbase is probably just going to lose their shit and overreact and want to make drastic organizational changes.

Were the Leafs shooting it up high a bunch? I felt like there were a ton of saves Tuukka had to made up around his shoulder area, which is always that awkward "jump"-like motion where it's hard to gather the puck right away. May have been nothing but something I noticed a few times, especially early.

I'm not sure what is left after fire Clode.

This is a great point. Let's hope the B's win, all the Toronto anger gets aimed at Kadri, and they run him out of town. That's be a win-win if ever there was one.

They've been going blocker side a ton, either high blocker or underneath and above the leg pad. Definitely seems to be a specific scouting approach from them.

He also had an insane sequence where he took a shot off the face, juggled it twice with his stick, then caught it without letting it hit the ice.

I thought Rask played well last night, even after getting absolutely crushed by Tavares with help from McAvoy.

Andersen played well too and the Bruins dinged a couple of pipes behind him. Shit happens.

Carlo's post was probably the best shot he's taken in his life.
