Cbc please show fans outside

I have a few questions:
1. Why do their fans gather in that area to watch games? Don't people have TVs in their homes in Toronto? Or at least aren't there TVs inside of bars?
2. Why the hell do the broadcasts keep showing these morons standing outside?

Watch parties are becoming pretty common around the NHL. I heard from insiders the league used to try and restrict these in the arenas, but they have softened this year. Honestly, it's actually a lot of fun to have the group watch dynamic - live sporting events are among the last shared cultural events experienced in realtime. Then again, I'm in Florida and there are several huge Bolts watch parties around downtown held outside and they have been well attended.
