Talent wise, it's close. Personality wise, that's a tumble. From Brady to Rodgers. Not too shabby. Good luck, Martellus.

Should be good for a fourth round comp pick.@AdamSchefter: Colts giving Jabaal Sheard a three-year deal for $25.5M, including $12.75M guaranteed, per source.
Dude played with Jay Cutler. He'll be alright.Talent wise, it's close. Personality wise, that's a tumble.
Not really comparing them beyond saying I'd rather have Pryor AND a young Pro Bowl corner. So that they are apples to oranges isn't relevant to what I'm saying. I'm not suggesting Pryor is better or younger or preferable to Cooks. As I said, I love Cooks. But, given the choice between Cooks but give up Butler or Butler AND Pryor, I choose the latter.Pryor will be 28 by the start of the season. Cooks will be almost 24.
Edit: To add, Pryor is till learning how to be a receiver while Cooks can do it all. They're literally apples and oranges.

Huge news for the jets.
The Jets have re-signed long snapper Tanner Purdum, the team announced. #Jets
3/21, pretty nice get for GBBennett signed with GB. Good luck Marty!
AP, Charles, and Murray still homeless. All should be pretty cheap at this point.@AdamSchefter
Eddie Lacy is signing with the Seahawks.
So AP still without a home. Had visited Seattle but left w/o a deal.
Latavius Murray is 27 years old, had 200 carries with an average of 4 yards, 12 TDs and had 30+ receptions for over 250 yards. I disagree.AP, Charles, and Murray still homeless. All should be pretty cheap at this point.
I just think that running backs are so far down the priority list these days as a position. He'll sign, and likely be really good.Any idea why, with those stats and at that age, Murray has gotten such little interest?
Going from Beast Mode to Feast Mode in Seattle. On the one hand, a healthy motivated Lacy is a pretty good fit in Seattle.
On the other hand, he weighed 267 at his free agent visit
What kind of contract would you consider not to be "cheap" for him? I think the RB market is as depressed as it's ever been.Latavius Murray is 27 years old, had 200 carries with an average of 4 yards, 12 TDs and had 30+ receptions for over 250 yards. I disagree.
Particularly with a strong college group in this draftWhat kind of contract would you consider not to be "cheap" for him? I think the RB market is as depressed as it's ever been.
I was hoping for a deal for much less than $5.5M, $3M guaranteed. Especially for some of these injury-prone "names". They already have two guys recovering from serious injuries, they don't need another at this kind of a price.@AdamSchefter

This isn't really good for the RB market in general. They might have to address the position in the draft if that contract actually sets the market and Blount won't take a discount.Per the push notification I got, the deal was a 1 year, $5.5M deal.
Precisely. I think we'll see similar deals as Lacy for the unsigned guys. Nobody is going to commit big or long money to 30+ year-old RBs. At his age, Murray may be able to get a 2-3 year deal but it looks like he's struggling to find a market. And that market only gets worse next month once everyone talks themselves into their new 4th round RB for 1/5 the price.Particularly with a strong college group in this draft
My point was more that Murray actually had production last year, is young, is versatile, and has real skills. Anyone signing Charles or AP is signing a player to come into camp or optimistically be part of a rotation. Murray is a bona fide starter and could be a three-down back if the team wanted. Looping all 3 together isn't fair to Murray IMO and I think those 3 contracts (if Charles and AP even get them) will not look the same. What kind of contract would you consider not to be "cheap" for him? Fair enough but the term "cheap" can be relative. Murray certainly offers more potential LT value than AP/Charles but I do think all 3 guys are going to go for reasonable deals in 1-2 years of length. I just don't know why any team would commit to longer given how fungible the position is.My point was more that Murray actually had production last year, is young, is versatile, and has real skills. This deserves at least a little love.Going from Beast Mode to Feast Mode in Seattle.
Agree with your principle here, but I see Charles and AP going for the vet minimum, whereas Murray should be able to get at least 4M guaranteed on a 1-year deal or 6-7M over 2 years. This would put him in top 10 RBs, but not top 5. Murray at 3-3.5M per year is a steal IMO.Fair enough but the term "cheap" can be relative. Nothing really to add, just wanted to post this for Jones' twitter handleWill this have any bearing on Hightower?

Source: OLB Jarvis Jones is expected to sign with the #AZCardinals. The former #Steelers first pick likely finds a home.
I am assuming the Raiders are an outlier in that group b/c a lot of their cap space will likely be used to sign Carr to a long term deal.Field YatesVerified account @FieldYates 4h4 hours ago
Most cap space remaining, per official NFL accounting: 49ers: $73.9M Browns: $61.4M Jaguars: $47.0M Titans: $42.3M Raiders: $41.6M
