Pretty sure he will pitch the first inning, so if you are going and want to see him don't be late.

Devers now with an 1.098 OPS in his last 121 AB's and doesn't turn 20 until October.
He should probably be in the Moncada/AB conversation at this point.

edit. OPS typo

Including the apparent decision to start playing Moncada at 3rd. Assuming we don't trade these guys, Moncada at 3rd would seem to be only a temporary position given how well Devers is playing. It doesn't hurt to give Moncada experience at other positions but I wonder if Devers rise makes outfield Moncada's more likely future position (and Bradley the odd man out when he, X and Mookie are up for big contracts)

Benintendi is 3-for-3 with two homers and a double. Game is in the top of the 5th.

Yeah 4-4 two doubles two hr. In the 5th and moncada has a single, double, walk and triple.

Damn fellas
At what point is Benintendi's most likely current ML line worth bumping Holt back to Utility guy? Doesn't seem like he's got much left to prove in AA, is AAA enough of a jump to actually give useful info at this point?

We'd rather not find out by acquiring Beltran. Apparently.

Teddy Stankiewicz .@teddystank29 with the first 9-inning, one-hit shutout in team history. #SeaDogsBaseball beats Erie 3-0
Mets top ranked pitching draft selections:
2009: Steven Matz
2010: Matt Harvey
2011: Michael Fulmer
2012: Teddy Stankiewicz (unsigned)

Hoping some of that magic rubbed off on him.

Was at Sea Dogs game tonight. Disappointed not to see AB or Moncada (who sat for some reason) but Dubon had a great night, roped two doubles to center and left respectively, drove in 2 of the 3 runs, handled his few chances smoothly. Stankiewicz threw a one hit CGSO, though he gave up some pretty hard contact... we weren't really seated in a spot where I could say much more than that about the pitching.

I'm surprised we aren't seeing Dubon moving up the mid season rankings yet. A few years ago he was voted the best defensive SS in the system, and now he's hitting .300 with some walks and doubles. At least for the Sox after all the trades he must be firmly in the top 10 right?

Close? Depends where you rank guys like Johnson, Basabe, Ockimey, Travis, etc. Limited ceiling though. He is Moncada's translator, or one of them anyway.

That's pretty irregular. A high schooler debuting in Lowell. He must be showing some tremendously advanced stuff.
