Man, I can't even tell what a good bowl is any more, there's too many bad ones in January, and classic ones in December with new names. Heck, my gut tells me even though the pecking order wasn't like that, that Iowa State got a better profile bowl than Oklahoma State or TCU.

Atlanta is also hosting the national championship game.

Also, it's weird that the Cotton Bowl stadium hosts a bowl game that is not the Cotton Bowl.

As a B1G fan, it also feels wrong to me that the Cotton Bowl will be the traditional Rose Bowl match up, and that it's being played on Dec. 29th.

Yeah, like the Gasparilla Bowl. That's the noxious fumes wafting through the air after downing a 6-pack of sarsaparilla.

Apparently Florida State did not meet eligibility requirements for a bowl bid because Delaware State did not have enough scholarships over a 2-year period. Therefore, FSU's win over DSU does not count toward bowl eligibility so they only have 5 wins to count towards that. Neither FSU, the ACC, or the NCAA caught it in time so they have no choice but to let them play.

You mean the NCAA looked the other way because they would prefer FSU to whoever would have actually been eligible.

I’m biased as a JMU grad, but JMU v. NDSU should be an epic FCS championship game. The two most recent champions who last in met the 2016 playoffs when JMU ended NDSU’s remarkable bid for a sixth consecutive championship.

Fresno State look like geniuses for hiring Jeff Tedford. His tenure at Cal ended poorly but they were very good before that. He's only 56 so a bigger school will probably snap him up one of these years.

Congrats Ringo. You're not going to be able to convince me that wasn't a touchdown to make it 14-3 and I would have liked to have seen how things would have unfolded from there. But then again they didn't have to have an idiotic play call and fumble on the next play so... I'm hopeful that with another year or two of recruiting the Fuente offense will look a lot like that one.
Could be worse though. At least they weren't totally embarrassed by Navy.

Yeah, if someone covered up the problem, that's an issue...rather than if it was discovered a few days before the game...because, let's face it, at that point there'd be no game.

Is it Sam Darnold or Bradford playing QB? Can't tell because the color commentator is using both names interchangeably.

After USC last nite and now this start by UW, the Pac-12 is looking at having 1 bowl winner out of 9 tries. Ouch
Whereas the B1G is owning the Pac 12, with a current 3-0 record heading towards 4-0. Overall 5-0, with the current PSU game, Wiscy game tonite, and the UM - USC game 1/1 remaining on the schedule.

Nits up 14 with the ball after finally getting some pressure on Browning.

Could this actually be a good bowl season for the Big Ten?
