I would say it's a gift from Bill Cosby but Pedro appears conscious so I'm leaning no
seems like a more nordic pattern to me. so, like the wearer, a classic that never goes out of style.

So is the magic number to win the division outright at 2 or 3?

I want nothing to do with a 1-game playoff against the MFYs in NY, nor a 1-game Wild Card play-in game.

2. 1 Sox win/NYY loss assures a tie. 2 assures a win.

if they clinch tomorrow afternoon, they should consider popping bottles around 4pm and forfeiting the rest of the regular season.

The magic number is one. It doesn't matter how we got here. When it was at six, that meant that 6 represented the number of combined Red Sox wins and Yankee losses (in any mix) for the Sox to win the division. Well, the Sox have won some games and the Yankees have lost some games, and now the number is one.

Six opportunities left to get a single Red Sox win or single Yankee loss - three Yankee games and three Red Sox games. All we need is one more.

One. More.

looks like we are relying on the Fist if we want to clinch today. 3-0 Yankees in the 5th and Tanaka is cruising: 1 hit through 5.
