Well deserved lead for Palace against West Brom with a goal from Zaha. Things are finally feeling better.
Maybe this is Wenger showing the fans what it will be like when Ozil and Sanchez leave. All the guys who extended contracts are in, those in flux are not.
Coquelin booked on 35 minutes. He's a prime beneficiary of managerial stubbornness. He's just not a good enough player to get so much time.
I would honestly love a reasoned explanation of why Coquelin continues to get tons of minutes. He was abjectly terrible in the first half (though he wasn't the only one). And his upside is what, exactly? He can't boss games. He's no Kante. He's a guy who might be a bigger piece of a lesser side. He's not a linchpin for an elite club. Why is he so important to Wenger?

The sad reality is Xhaka hasn't played reliable enough defense to merit too much more run than he's gotten. If that isn't true and Cazorla is healthy, we may not have this particular gripe.
Wait, Welbeck off? I know he hasn't played much but there wasn't a ton of indication that he was gassed, if any.

Origi may have been slightly off, but on a counter like that the linesman will rarely be in position to see it.

Wenger needs to step down, stat. Or - more responsibly - as soon as succession plans are locked in.
Wenger should 100% not be any party to any succession plans after how he's handled things over the last 5 years.
Gun to my head, I'd say unintentional - he was looking to the side, wasn't looking at the ground Ndamukong Suh style - but man it takes a complete knob not to notice there's a guy's head under where your cleats are going. Give him a match or two for recklessness if nothing else.
Had high hopes for Everton today but this is a turd. Robles at fault for both goals but other than some brightness in the first 15 minutes there has been nothing good. Koeman at fault also- no good reason to start Barry, he is an obvious weak link.
