Markelle Fultz, Year Three: He's back! Big....?

In that Hanlan promo video it kinda looked like Embiid had also been partaking of the cheese fries. He could still stand to lose 20-25 lbs, imo.

Meanwhile: the irony of Papelbon's Poutine commenting on Fultz's cheese fries is pretty delicious. :)

No one is being over dramatic. I said it looks bad. Is there even an argument that’s not the case? I don’t care either way and I think he’s in trouble career wise for reasons way beyond this but man, this is a bad look.
Well, since I - and others - don’t think it looks bad, then yes, I’d say there’s an argument on that. Kind of by definition. I don’t even consider this a ‘look’, let alone bad.

It’s bananaland that you don’t think this looks bad. This kids out of the league in two years. This is tip of the iceberg stuff.

This is KOC's tweet from last week. Its golden like nacho sauce (as is the thread title).

If KOC's ascending career as an NBA analyst is ever derailed, he has a future ghost writing for Migos or some other pop-rappers.

"Sitting baseline. Wearing Gucci. Eating french fries. Skrrt skrrt!"

What, we're not going to get into Fultz staring stonefaced at the kiss cam?

If you listen to Vernon and O'Connor, they're obviously having fun with all of it.

John Hot Plate Williams has nothing on Fatty Fultz.

Thomas & Mack concessions provide a decent variety of sports fare. There are a number of different concession options that can be found throughout the single concourse. The South of the Border concession offers tacos, burritos and taco salads. The Back Court Grill offers a number of traditional items, including chicken fingers, burgers, fries, chili cheese fries, brats and italian sausage. The DQ offers traditional Dairy Queen items and the Pizza & Brew offers exactly what it sounds like. Maybe the best spot to hit would be the Mack Attack. It’s a unique spot that offers soup, chili cheese fritos and the Mack Attack, a ½ pound hot dog.
If Markelle starts hitting the bolded, we know he has a problem.

I'm disappointed people reacted seriously about a tweet which had the colangelo tweet line in it.

Guys
Hey man, this is gonna sound like a back handed...back slap? High five? Is that a thing? ...but I’m team @LondonSox on this one with you. Normally when I start to roll my eyes when I see your avatar in this forum - no offense, you do get overly sensitive about your team, but we all do - but in this case your dead on. This is a nothingburger.

I'm trying a new thing where I try not to rise to the pointless attacks and blocking the guys who are trolling. And trying to just talk basketball.
I'm defensive because it always felt like a pile on, but whatever it always will be and it doesn't matter if I only pay attention to actually useful posts etc. There's useful views and opinions in here and I'm not getting more by taking offense

Edit
That was unfortunate, I did not intend to post that part it was a PM and i started writing it here and then decided to send it as a PM and the save function glitched and threw it back in. Corrected now

Just so you know I'm blocking you now
You are not worth conversing with. You rarely add anything of use and doing things like claiming eating cheese fries is a slippery slope to being out the league is just you repeated your pointless and mean spirited hatred of a young guy who did nothing wrong.

Most other people are bored and fucking around, you are finding it a fun new way to attack

In fairness to others I think you tend to be over sensitive - which is natural being on a Celtics board discussing their biggest pending rival. People are going to inherently overstate or nitpick. But that being said, I think you do overreact when anything critical is said. Also understood. But some stances you take - ie Silver, Hinkie, NBA/Colangelos, individual player criticisms - yeah man they come off as being a bit over the top and I’ll confess I have t noticed many personal attacks; attacks of stances yes, because sometimes they deserve it (in general) and are often true. But people saying you’re being overly partial/defensive isn’t a personal attack.

Plenty of posters are guilty of it with Boston teams, so don’t sweat it. Imagine Stephen A saying it to you.

Cheese fries probably go well with cheese steaks. Just wait til we see that waistline when he gets back to Philly.

Remember when Embiid was injured and ballooned up to over 300 pounds and was eating his way out of the league? Half the people on the board bought that crap too.

edit: Embiid is looking quite big atm tho.

I do remember that. I also remember Embiid being gassed in Round 2 of the EC playoffs and his stamina being a factor in Philly losing in 5 games. (Yes he was out injured prior to that)

BTW Yabusele does have some issues there too. He’s “jacked” but also close to 300 pounds and the coaching staff has some concerns about his weight.

What load of crap? He did gain a ton of weight which is indicative of a lack of discipline, self-control, and commitment to his body. These are flaws in a player that usually rear its head at some point during a players career unless they are addressed as guys like Kevin Love, James Johnson, Draymond and others have seemingly conquered.

He was never close to the weight being reported.

He plays at 250 or so and was noticeable larger.....it wasn't unreasonable to believe it was the "close to 300" that was reported. I'm not saying this was a huge deal when his cardio is limited being on the shelf but saying it was fabricated or a bunch of crap isnt really accurate. He was also sent home from a West Coast trip following multiple skipped workouts with the teams Assistsnt Trainer so there was acknowledgement of self-discipline issues right there. I mean I don't have any cheese frie vids but if anyone can find one out there the board would appreciate it.

Do you know how hard it is to actually gain 50 pounds in 6 months? He was never close to 300 pounds and he and a sixers official denied all the reports, saying the heaviest he was was 275.

It was a year and a half from his weight at Kansas. 275, 285, whatever.....you can't deny that the team actually sent him home from a road trip because he was at best missing team mandated workouts and at worst doing things that he shouldn't have been doing. That's a discipline issue as is the weight gain.

I thought analyzing people's posture or the faces they made on the field/court was the peak of silly over-reacting by sports fans. But going on for two pages of a thread on how you heard someone saw so-and-so eating cheese fries at a game is some junior high level shit. It's practically Ferris Bueller passing out at 31 Flavors.

There’s no probably about it. Cheese fries are an essential side to a cheesesteak. As is a black cherry (Wishniak) soda or a Cherry Coke.

If anyone thinks eating cheese fries is going to hurt how someone is regarded in Philly, they don’t know Philly. If Markelle’s nickname became “Cheese Fries” over this, that would only be a good thing.

Going back to lurking because this thread long ago devolved into a bunch of C’s skeezes jerking themselves off over the Tatum-Fultz trade.

CHEESE FRIES FOREVER!

He's got a long way to go to recover his Philly food credibility after revealing that he orders lettuce on his cheesesteaks.

I had those summer league cheese fries, they cover them in bacon bits and drown them in way too much mediocre cheese sauce

Just had some fries at In-N-Out with melted cheese and fried onions. Fultz fries, animal style.
If Fultz was eating In-N-Out Animal Style Fries, he gets a pass. Those things are like if crack and opioids mated with potatoes, cheese and onions and had tray of highly addictive fried offspring.

Btw, I don't understand how anyone can dare give Fultz grief for his cheesesteak toppings if broccoli rabe is an acceptable one. And I like broccoli rabe too.
