Spent yesterday at a minor league doubleheader (Mobile BayBears - AA affiliate of the Angels) which featured not one, but two descendants of guys I had baseball cards for - Hutton Moyer, son of crafty lefty Jamie Moyer and Gabby Guerrero, nephew of Vlad.

Clearly this is something I'm going to see more of now that I approach 40, but which 2nd generation (or 3rd?) player was your first "Holy crap I'm old" moment?

The biggest 'I'm old' moment along these lines is the day you realize you are older than everyone left in the league.

Ken Griffey Jr.
I just had my "I'm Old" moment. There's no one on the Red Sox roster that is my age. In fact, the oldest player on the active Red Sox is Hanley Ramirez, 3 years younger than me. The oldest player on the Yanks is my age, and he just hit the DL(CC). I may need to start rooting for the Blue Jays. They have 6 gray beards that are 35 or older.

edit: The New Hampshire Fishercats are loaded with "I'm Old' players, featuring the sons of Vlad Guerrero, Craig Biggio, and Dante Bichette!

Years ago, I worked in MiLB. I'm pretty sure Jason Werth is the only player who played for a team I worked for who is still playing. And he is clearly on his way out.

C.C. Sabathia pitched against my team a couple of times, so at least there is that.

I miss Wake.

Back in 2010, I was joking around with the guys I play fantasy baseball with after a prospect draft about how closely I watch my prospects. As part of the joke, I sent Facebook friend requests to the prospects I drafted. Seeing their Facebook pages, with their typical teen stuff going on, I felt a generational gap that made me feel "old" regarding sports for the first time. And I was only barely over 30 at that point.

Fun fact - two of the prospects accepted my friend requests. Jaff Decker, who has had cups of coffee each of the past five years with a few different teams, and a young fellow by the name of Mike Trout.

I played little league against Rocco Baldelli. Obviously he retired on the early side due to injuries, but still made me feel old when it happened

Can't think of a particular 2nd generation player who made me feel old. Those "holy crap I'm old" moments have been more about seeing guys I remember as prospects get inducted to the Hall of Fame, which started with Robbie Alomar. I'm also rooting for someone to sign RA Dickey so the number of MLB players older than me goes back up to three. I watched Bartolo pitch an exhibition game right before his rookie season. At the time he was "younger" than me, but not after age gate.

I started going to at least a dozen AA games a year when I was 26 or 27. At the time I found it amusing to see players at that level who were older than me. It's less amusing to go watch the same team now and see some players who are young enough to be my kid.

Prince Fielder, remembering him hitting bombs in Tigers Stadium. He wasn't even a teenager yet.

Jamie Moyer and Wake were the last two guys active that were older than me. Wake retired, then Moyer came back for a year and then there were none.

Tim Raines, Jr. was amongst the first to make me feel old.
