WTH? Don't understand this move by Trouba after his extended hold out.Trouba re-signs with Winnipeg. 2-years 3mm AAV.
Got it, that does make sense. He's doing it because it increases the likelihood of a trade.
Is Sweeney a secret genius?Stamkos injured his right leg last night. He returned to TB for further tests. Same leg he broke in 2 on the goal post in Boston a few years ago.
Elsewhere, the Flames are apparently open to trading Dougie Hamilton.
The Islanders are off to a horrible start, but Snow gave Capuano a vote of confidence. They are apparently scouring around desperately looking for a F.

Cunningham collapsed just moments before the puck was scheduled to drop. He appeared to convulse after hitting the ice. Medics worked on Cunningham, who was lying on his back, and cut away his jersey. They performed chest compressions before moving him off the ice and into an ambulance.

The American Hockey League postponed the contest. No make-up date has been announced.
The Roadrunners have yet to update his condition, but Dave Tippett — coach of the NHL's Arizona Coyotes, the Roadrunners' parent club — told reporters Saturday that medical officials got to Cunningham "right away."
"We'll have more information tomorrow," he said, "but it was one of those real scary incidents."
Were Bronze Knights the 3rd place finisher?Sharks extend Brent Burns. 8-years, $8mm AAV.
Las Vegas is unveiling their name and logo tonight. McKenzie says it's either Silver Knights or Gold Knights.
The Panthers left Gallant at the rink last night and it was a story and pictures of him waiting for a cab with all his bags. They also seem to have timed the move to coincide with them being on the road with no local media traveling with them. That is pretty shitty. That link is dead.
I'm sure Jimmy Murph is on the case.Is he even going to be able to submit his expenses now they revoked his access privileges? And what's to happen to his Amex points? Will they let him keep them or can he convert them to Amazon points before his card gets cancelled? WE NEED SOME HARD HITTING REPORTING ON THIS!
Nah, Fluto's got this.I'm sure Jimmy Murph is on the case.
I know you're joking, but that trade turned into -It was probably the Bruins trying to offer back what they got for Dougie.
Yes, it was very tongue in cheek. I was taking a shot at everyone that complained about the trade at the time, including me.I know you're joking, but that trade turned into -
Zach Senyshyn, Jakob Forsbacka-Karlsson, and Jeremy Lauzon.
No way do I trade those three for Dougie. That could end up being a major steal. Dougie hasn't shown much improvement since leaving Boston, and those three have incredibly high potential.
Could probably warrant it's own thread, but this forum has been like a morgue lately.“To me, it’s the process of the past couple of years and where the league has gone,” Tortorella said, per the Columbus Dispatch. “We need (the defensemen) to be part of our quickness. I’ll say it again, I think we’ve added leg speed, but I think we have added mental quickness, too, and (reducing the D-to-D pass) is part of the mental quickness.”
LOLIt was probably the Bruins trying to offer back what they got for Dougie.
It's more interesting that it's Tortorella emphasizing this than anything. It's been pretty obvious for a while now that D-to-D passes are murder on a breakout in this league. The Bs losses over the weekend were replete with the D getting pressured by 2 and 3 man forechecks because they don't push the puck up ice quickly enough. If they didn't turn it over, the first or second passes are too often to a man who isn't moving, is coming back into the D zone or is moving into an offensive zone with 3 opponents stacked across the blue line waiting.Found this article very interesting:

It is an interesting article, and highlights one of the reasons why the speed/size equation keeps edging towards speed, and why time of possession is so important.Found this article very interesting:
