NBA approves jersey ads

I don't have numbers, but I'm guessing uniform replicas are a much smaller slice of the licensing pie in the NBA than in the other major North American sports leagues. If you buy a Celtics jacket or sweatshirt, it won't have a GE logo on it, even if the NBA goes full-on European soccer with the sponsors' logos on game shirts.

You could say that about literally anything on this board. It obviously matters to someone.
I mean, Trump's effect on the country actually matters and it's certainly worth discussing. How the Pats D will stack up again the Falcons also matters, especially to football fans. And even Scarlett Johannsen's hair matters to P&G jokesters.

But a tiny ad on a sports jersey that already has ads is irrelevant. Who didn't see this coming? It was inevitable and it's not ugly or horrendous in any way. Unless you've been living under a rock and thinking sports isn't totally and utterly commanded by the almighty dollar.
