This really was a fantastic first round of games. The first Thursday of NCAA Tourney is one of my favorite days of the year. Not sure if it was last year or the year before, but the games were just awful with almost no upsets and not even that many coming down to final shots. Yesterday was excellent. Looking forward to today.

That was two years ago, the highlight being two seed Michigan State losing to Middle Tennessee.

Last year, both days of the first round were pretty tepid on the upset front. But at least on the Friday session there were a few decent games. Thursday last year was horrendous across the board.
