A general observation in these early games: it appears the most of the higher seeds are tighter and playing not to lose and just advance and the lower seeds are playing with their house money.

Bobby Hurley is every bit the whiny prick as a coach as he was as a player. He pisses and moans on almost every possession

And Bobby's brother Dan is every bit of that mixed with disrespect and angst from being the less talented brother as a player. And I say that as a URI fan/alumnus with no ill feelings towards him.

I’m sure they’ll roll NDSU but Duke’s insistence on shooting a bunch of threes when most of the team can’t shoot is a serious flaw for a one seed.

NDSU is good - if their 3s were falling like they were against NCCU it would be a different game.

deep inside Guido territory
NDSU is well-coached and runs a good system, but the shots aren't falling and Duke is locking down on D. Duke will also start to go inside more and jump shots will start falling. But this is a heck of a lot better game than I thought it was going to be.

I’ve never been less impressed by a hyped prospect than I have by cam reddish. Only seen him a handful of times so maybe just caught it bad, but yikes. Cannot imagine using a top 5 pick on him.

Dammit I hate when the game spoils my conference/program narratives. I've always said the Pac10 is the Atlantic 10 with football and always like to pick their teams to exit early, now UW has to look strong tonight.

They will likely be slaughtered next round. They defend well but cannot score.
