NESN's wonderful website doesn't mention this, but Ryan's Twitter does and my Xfinity program guide is showing that on August 16 there's a show called Sox Prospects (or similar) and episode 1 is about Ryan Westmoreland. Ep 2 is a week later about Andy Yount.

I hope when ratings drop from week 1 to week 2 that they don't decide it's a bad idea for a show, but that it's a bad idea to feature Andy Yount's story after Ryan Westmoreland's!

SO much they could do with a series like this. NESN does almost nothing considering the options in this region. Behind the B is a good show, but beyond that they do so very little original programming about the local teams. They could really learn from YES with some of their Yankee history programming instead of giving us the Mad Fisherman all the time

This debuted last night before the PawSox game and was pretty good. It was told by Ryan himself, with tons of video from when he was a kid, to being with the Spinners, to his rehabbing from surgery.

I would have liked more interviews with Sox personnel, they basically only had a bunch of Gordon Edes, who was good as usual, and Dave Dombrowski, who spoke well about Ryan and about prospects in general, but who, of course, never had anything to do with him. Would have been nice to hear from some of his Lowell teammates (there was a clip from Middlebrooks, but it was archive material) or Gary DiSarcina, who was his Lowell manager, or from Theo and Ben Cherrington, who drafted him. But all in all, a pretty good production.

They are showing it a few more times in the next few days.

I only caught the tail end. Would Dombrowski have signed him for the Tigers? Yount's stint was during Dombrowski's first year with them.
