Is this ok to start? It looks like my clipps (with Kawhi nursing a mysterious knee injury) are slotted in to play Luka. Even with being emotional zapped on the season, i really dont want to watch euro-bird beat our ass in round 1.

Our staples (lakers) neighbors have a shot at not being in the play-in with how well theyve been playing. That would suck. Really wanted them to squirm.

Wait, aren't they 2 games behind #6 Phoenix, with only 5 games to play, and requiring them to jump over 3 other teams (all of whom are better than they are by SRS, unless you subscribe to a switch-flipping theory with them) in order to get out of the play-in? I'm sure there are combinations of results the next week that could get them there, theoretically, but that just seems incredibly unlikely. I guess Game 82 for them is @ New Orleans, one of the teams ahead of them, and they did win tonight, but I'm not sure the odds would be much above 10% that they'd reach the 6-seed in the next week. I'd be pretty comfortable giving someone like 5:1 odds against, at the least.

Playoffstatus gives them about a 14% chance, which feels right. It's annoying enough that they are out of the 9/10 slot for the first time in over three months. That door hasn't closed yet (42% chance of finishing 9th or 10th), but they've got as much momentum as anyone in the league right now.

Totally understand not wanting to see Luka in round 1, but as a neutral observer, that is a great round 1 matchup. My hopes for round 1 in the west:

Minnesota/GS
Denver/LAL
OKC/Phoenix
LAC/Dallas
