Quote and multiquote functions not working

I'm guessing this is a simple fix and likely there's some sort of adjustment I need to make somewhere, but for the past few days the quote functions haven't been working for me. Would appreciate if anyone can point me in the right direction. Took a look around and didn't see anything posted here about this specific issue. Thanks.

They haven't worked for me in ages. I've been assuming it's due to some browser "update" that wasn't compatible.

2 days ago this happened to me: report & multiquote disappeared and when I hit quote I got a weird box with a single line to enter text at the top of the page, but the cursor was misaligned, couldn't be placed in the box and you couldn't enter anything. The next day, everything returned to normal, and I did nothing to change anything in the meantime.... Not a clue wtf caused this in FF and Palemoon. OTOH Chrome was normal.
