Do you have multiple user names?

Huh. I'm not the original poster, but this was happening to me, too. I logged out, and then I could access Football Central. Once I logged back in, I was back in the ADMIN_VALIDATION loop. I don't remember having multiple usernames. I'll clear my browser settings, try different browsers (Safari and Firefox) and see if that works. Great content on Central so far, all.

Edit: Reset Safari, no change. When logged out, I can access Central. When logged in, I get the ADMIN_VALIDATION URL.

This same behavior does not happen on Firefox 31. Whether logged in or logged out, I can access Central.

Can you guys try clearing cookies?

No dice. Even after removing the SoSH cookie, still got sent to the re-direct loop. I also installed Chrome, and was able to replicate amlothi's experience. Works when logged out, not so when logged in. This is a non-issue on Firefox 32 (upgraded from 31 between posts). Could it have something to do with Webkit?

I'll have to dig into the issue. I don't know when, but hopefully soon (weekends are rough).

Or if any of the resident geeks have an idea. I do think that it has to do with the Invision API and how we handle authentication (due to closed membership)

Works fine for me in Chrome, which unfortunately makes it tougher to debug. Maybe related to cookie domains? That's something I'd poke at first.

Anyone else who are in the same user group (regular "member") verify that they can or cannot get this to work?

Well, I can give you something interesting - http://central.sonsofsamhorn.net worked fine at first on chrome (was logged in from before), then I logged out and it still worked fine, then I logged back in and got the 'redirect loop' error

Just to add another data point -- I'm getting the redirect loop when signed in on Chrome (my primary browser). If I sign out on Chrome, I can access OK. But if I log back in I get the redirect loop message. I was able to get in via Firefox before logging in, but when I logged in I got a 'The page isn't redirecting properly' message.

Awesome content on the site, BTW.

Yep, logging out and back in gives me the loop as well. It's redirecting indefinitely to http://central.sonsofsamhorn.net/ADMIN_VALIDATION.

Prior to logging out it didn't redirect through there (I logged the network requests made on a successful page load), but I'm not seeing much difference between the cookies I have now and what I had prior to doing so.

Maybe a time skew issue? Is the server time right on central and on SOSH main?

Also FYI I get the same redirect loop in Firefox as in Chrome, if I log into SOSH before hitting central.

(All my testing is on Linux, fwiw)

Just checked, both times look to be in sync....

Yeah we turned off integration with the forum

Would really appreciate comments on the articles over there now that the link is gone ;). The moving forces behind this are spending huge amounts of time on it. Like 8 guys basically working full-time
