Interesting squad selection for Stoke as they take on Chelsea at home

Glen Johnson and Erik Pieters as part of a back 3. With Mame Biram Diouf as a wing back.

Rooney got his face split open in an aerial battle, elbow or forearm. Blood everywhere. No foul. He's furious, don't blame him.

Liverpool make 7 changes from their midweek match, but nothing changes. Within the first 12 minutes, Can hit the post and Salah couldn’t direct the rebound into a wide open net. And the ‘Pool defense has been getting sliced open on counters.

And as I type this - Cohntinho crosses and Salah nods it in from a tight angle at the back post. Pretty stuff.

Are there still issues with this today? I'm about to cancel cable and was going to get this but my friend who has it was furious last weekend
I couldn't log in until 20' into the 3:00 (GMT) EVE-BOU game. Clicked login button and nothing happened. Same on Chrome and Firefox for Mac and PC and the iOS app.

Service is terrible.

Incredible dribbling play in midfield to retain possession by Coutinho, Can then sends Moreno in, drawing a foul on Ndidi.

Coutinho with a Coutinho FK and it's 2-0

Coutinho is back! World class free kick from 27yds out, over the wall and curled into the corner. Brilliant stuff.

What a horrible series of refereeing to end the half! Vardy with the leg drag dive, giving the corner 30 seconds past time, and Okazaki with the NFL level pass interference on Mignolet. That was embarrassing.

Lee Dixon sucks. Spent the first half saying how easy it is to be a defender and keep the ball out of the net. Spends the first 3' of this ripping Liverpool for THAT corner

California. Duh.
Since Lovren still managed to head the ball while getting rugby tackled, I find it hard to believe Taylor couldn't see it.

I always hate when teams complain about officiating after games. This would one of those times where I would be ok with Klopp going on a tirade about it.

Henderson starts the break and finishes it.

And now Vardy claws Leicester back to within 1. Goddamn.

And now a penalty?!?!?

I wish I were a neutral and could fully enjoy this match.

This is incredible. The announcers talk about no injuries and possibly 2 minutes of stoppage time. Then up goes 5 and it's "oh yeah, the subs."

Easily one of the poorest officiated matches I've seen in a while. LFC fan or not..that was shockingly horrific. At no point in the match did they have any clue what they were doing. As a whole, this season so far has been very bad for the refs.

Basically same lineup that took 7 points from 9 last week. Hooper/Fletcher up front with a midfield diamond behind. Watch for Bannan and Reach combining on the left and Wallace and Hunt on the right. Also, Gary Hooper has been scoring goals for fun.

Pigs with some injuries up front, Billy Shap and Ched Evans are on the bench, but I'd assume Wilder doesn't want to use them.

Christ, it's squeeky bum time 15 minutes before the match...

That was awful.

Credit to the pigs- clever free kick (vapid defending helped) got them started well, and they played with confidence right on after that. Brooks is dangerous every time he touches the ball, Baldock has been very good, and Bashum has owned the middle of the park. But that was horrific from the home side.

The offsides trap has been a struggle this year- brentford nearly killed us exploiting that, the back four looks like they've never played together, not a midfielder can make a pass, and Fletcher is just stumbling around out there. Thank Christ Gary Hooper is in such good form- that was a big boy goal and one that may have saved this game.

This is why fans have been ugly the last two years, because when things aren't going well, it looks a bit (not as bad) like this- poor service to the forwards, no cohesion in midfield, and stagnant build up from the back. I'd like to see the more decisive side that battered Cardiff about the pitch last weekend.

I'm still hiding upstairs in my room from fear of abusing my kids or dog.

Credit to the pigs, a lot of individual skill on display. Piss poor defense was the downfall though. Van Aken was brutal today and he's been outstanding since his debut. A few others (Jones, Reach, Hunt notably to me) did more harm than good.

This one hurts a lot, but this league is a meat grinder and we've got 35 games to go.

@Dummy, what is the nature of the Wednesday/United split? Religion? Geography?

Also, how did CCV (young US CB) look for United?
