They weren't booing but if they were they we're booing this thread
I am sure you are right but it's reported on the internets like it's true...

The Heat appeared like they were on the way to returning the favor with a blowout. But down 16 with one minute left in the third and their homecourt fans booing them, the Sixers got back in the game behind the playmaking of Ben Simmons. They cut the lead to 98-96 with less than five minutes left on a tip in by Ersan Ilyasova.

Weird...

Well that's now gone from halftime to 1 minute to go in the third

Going back to the tape miami hits a 3 to go up 16 at 41 second to go.
There is no audible booing.

The sixers then hit a 3, get a stop and get two free throws right at the buzzer.
There's no booing at the end of the quarter.

So... That one has a link but I just watched that last minute and there's no booing.

Next?

A Lost Time
Did anyone notice that Blazers fans booed their team when they were down against the Pelicans. I want to say it was at the end of the half, but I am not sure. But I remember it, because I had this thread in mind and I was always of the opinion that Phily fans are unique in being obnoxious and turning against their own teams.

Oh I agree with you on that. The booing Santa Claus is way overplayed because the guy was drunk and he deserved it. Many times when an incident happens in Philly......ex. Cheering Michael Irvins injury and throwing batteries at J.D. Drew it's on the national news. But when fans act bad in other cities it's not a national story. Didn't Raptors fans throw soda on the floor the other night? I think it was Toronto. Not even reported so yes there does seem to be a bias against Philly when incidents happen both ways. So you're right the Blazer fans were just as bad. My point was this was the first time the Sixers played bad in over a month. They were the hottest team and didn't deserve it

Celtics fans booed our scrappy bunch of overachievers a year ago during the Game 2's loss to the Bulls.

Here's a quote from that game thread:

Man, it really sucks to hear this team get booed off the floor. But they deserve it with that stink bomb.
I don't think we should really be throwing stones here.

Outrageous salaries, high ticket prices and complete access to pro sports teams have turned fans all over the country into cynics. Even diehard towns like Portland no longer blindly follow the local team.

I don't know. It's a different city. I mean the police once dropped a bomb on a house with children in it and ordered the fire department not to put out the ensuing blaze until everyone was dead and three city blocks had burned down. Worse, the conditions in Philly were so bad it drove the Fresh Prince out of town and he was forced to become a Clippers season ticket holder.

My guess is that Embiid will play Game 4 if they lose tonight, but if they win tonight they’ll save his return for Game 5 in Philly.
Agree with this, which feels a bit icky, given the report that he's at risk of permanent eye damage until this heals fully.

According to Keith Pompey, if Embiid plays, he will start. No minutes restriction. Might play 8 minutes or 28.

They did put the fire out, but it was too late. It was the mayor and police who messed up not the PFD. The worst thing to happen was that they had a court in the old Veterans Stadium with a judge to prosecute drunk and unruly fans. That's the most embarrassing thing.

The group inside the house (MOVE) were firing at the firefighters trying to put out the blaze, which is why they were pulled back and tried to concentrate on keeping the fire from spreading to the other homes. If you’re a firefighter you’re expected to accept the risk of facing fire, but you’re not obligated to accept the risk of facing gunfire.

Embiid's mask is bad ass...combination of matte black mask and Kareem style goggles (edit: more like ski goggles)
