I'm in now - hadn't even checked all week because I knew there was no event this week. Your money goes pretty far when there are only 30 players left, eh?

It would make way more sense to take the week off last week to give extra time after a Monday finish at Deutsche Bank and avoid Week 1 of NFL, but apparently we need a 2 week Super Bowl-like build up to the Tour Championship. Media day will be insane on Monday! Is Francesa on Radio Row?

Any chance you have an updated money list since we're about to finish up the season?

I'm down. But yeah, let's add some guys--maybe a new thread so others will see it.

DK has a "league" thing now and, at least for the NFL, it let me set up a recurring contest each week, so I didn't need to go in and fiddle with it. Might be worth looking into.

I am completely interested - golf and gambling two of my favorite things. Do we have the year end results for +/- or money won/lost last year. I think I pretty much broke even but not sure.

No, I stopped keeping track. I mostly do the league through the phone app and at some point last season they stopped letting me look at contests more than a week old, so if I missed a couple of weeks then I could not go back and see the results, so I gave up.

I might do it for this upcoming season, but we'll see.

Let's say you invite 15 people. Does the contest not start if all 15 don't join? I thought that was the case. I wonder why DK's won't fix that, make it an open invite and if 70% of the people join, so be it.

My goal would be to get 20 people, create a 15 person contest and first come first serve each week until 15 spots are filled.

It makes sense that they do it once you think about it. If you're signing up for a $5 contest with the top n paid, you typically make your money back if you make the money (if there are no ties), if there are less people that sign up, then the payouts get jacked up.

If we set it up as a league, you only have to set the parameters the first time and it sends out invites every week to all the members in the league. So I do agree that setting up 20 person league, but maybe 15 person contest would work, but some folks might get frustrated they can't get in and stop checking.

Is it possible to have contests where (for example) the parameters are that the contest needs 15 to work, but can hold as many as 20? Or is the site rigid about the size of each contest?

The ones that don't make it in can always create a smaller one, or set up a head 2 head matchup with another person that didn't make it in.

In fact, if we get 20 in the league, we could set up 2 recurring--one with 15, one with 5, with the caveat that you should only sign up for the larger one at first, until it's full.

If the smaller one doesn't fill up, at least it's only the latecomers that are missing out...

I'd think a new thread--that would show up in the little box on the main screen, might get more eyes.

Then basically we're just passing money back and forth.
I'm not even sure that makes sense. Five people, ten bucks a person, top score wins. Aren't we passing money back and forth with 8 people anyway? Is anyone doing this Draft Kings thing for 10 dollars a week to make money?
