Do we know the cause? Can't be just making the pitching motion?

I don't remember him pinch running his year.

I imagine they find a spot starter for the Angels finale still. don't really want to fill that hole in New York.

Well he had the same surgery as Pedroia so it's not surprising he's having some issues. I wonder how this affects the pitching for the Yankees series. Do they spot start someone on Thursday or move up E-Rod since he'd be on regular rest? They could bring up Chandler Shepherd to start since his day at AAA is Thursday and he's on the 40 man roster.

they have a day off next Thursday as well. You can spot start someone on Saturday in New York vs Gray and get away with a 4-man rotation otherwise for a couple weeks, or you just insert someone now.

my guess is they want the starters to keep getting extra days off and they'll insert someone now.

Home v. Angels probably easier than MFY @ Stade Fasciste Dos. Take the extra rest and spot start Thursday, especially with rainy forecast. Velasquez?

Sinister Funkhouse #17
Justin Haley (who was tonight's PawSox starter) up.

While he had been used in the bullpen his previous time up, he is a starter by trade.

Get Paul Byrd out of retirement. So much for dealing away some starting pitching for lineup help.

You read it here first. This DL stint is a sham!

I have it from good authority that this is merely the Sox way of getting out in front of another impending Michele McPhee bombshell.

Thanks to modern analytics, it's been discovered that when properly applied to a baseball in large enough quantities, fentanyl greatly reduces the ball's spin rate - in the case of a knuckleballer, to nearly zero. In an effort to obtain sufficient quantities of the contraband substance, it was Steven Wright, cleverly disguised with blackface and dreadlocks wig, using the code name "HanRam13" who was actually involved with a drug distribution cartel.

Further details forthcoming...

This was a post no one needed and would have been forgotten, but making light of domestic assault is just shitty. I'd delete it if I were you. I'll delete this then.
I deleted the portion that you found offensive as no offense was intended. The intent was to satirize the absurdity of the reporting of the Hanley non-incident.

I think I speak for all of us when I say, "God for fuck balls."

I can't take any more shit. My life is going to hell and I need the Sox to be good.

I thought it was sort of funny. However, i did not see the pre edited post. He was being sarcastic about the shitty reporting of the Hanley fiasco.

Well there goes the possibility of a Yankee game going less than 3 hours and 45 minutes.

Sounds like a moment for Jalen Beeks to become a real Red Sock.
