Does the puck move so fast on that second shot Tukka stopped (the one where the puck appears to move back out from under the blocker) that the camera just missed it?

Of course he goes down like he was shot though, because why wouldn't he.
He got hit in the balls.  I'd imagine you'd go down that quickly too.

And I imagine recovery from a nut shot like that is relatively short.

I don't know where you tuck your balls when you play, but if Lucic got me there, he'd be getting all butthole.

Looks like he got him in the grundle from my vantage point and I do often have slippage out of my cup during a game.  Regardless I imagine getting a stick to that area would cause a similar reaction.  It's quite sensitive.

Yeah that's absolutely gonna sting. Not that I have a huge problem with it happening to Emelin - a player who has historically played big and then cowers when remotely challenged. Don't answer the bell and you will get cheapshotted, it's a tale as old as time in this league.

Tom Wilson destroys Patrik Elias. Not suspendable, but that's chickenshit hit, IMO

By "not suspendable" did you mean because it's clean hit? Why would it be worthy of a suspension?

Also, I am surprised to hear a Bruins fan call this hit chickenshit.

Yes, it was within the rules of the game is what I meant by not suspendable. It was very very similar to the Chara/Pacioretty hit, which I said at the time was reckless and wouldn't have minded a game or two suspension. And to me this one is more malicious, despite the less catastrophic outcome

Thanks.  Found a much clearer video on Puck Daddy:

Pronunciation question: Is it ill-ya, ell-ya, or eel-ya?  (The guy who owns the other half of my condo unit goes by the second).

I miss that guy
Well, he tried his best again last night.  Too bad they can't find anyone to put on his line who can bury his set-ups.  A Zach Parise would net 40 goals if he could be paired with Jagr.

I feel like Parise isn't the optimal example to outline Jagr's play. Parise has averaged over 36 goals/82 games over the past 6 years. And he scored 45 goals in a season for the Devils without Jagr...

Yeah, you're probably right.  Zach had 32 this year.  Let's say that with Jagr, he would have had 50. The Devils don't have anyone who can bury the puck. Jagr's centerman, Travis Zajac, who is one of the Devils' more talented players can't do it.  The guy shanks so many pucks at open nets, or hits the post with them, that they should start a new stat...percentage of shots that miss open nets...and call it The Zajac. Whatever that attitude is that makes your shots true and on the money, Parise has that and no one on the Devils right now does.

I heard that the Hockey Night In Canada 2014 playoff intro (Metallica's "For Whom The Bell Tolls" is the music for it) was fantastic, but every place I find it says the video was either removed or is private.

Anyone have a link?

Hmm. Just found one where it says copyright claim by CBC/Radio-Canada so maybe I'm being unfair to Metallica

Metallica ceased to exist as soon as they released the black album. They are now the James and Lars Crew Cut Band Orchestra of Bullshit, and they can all go fuck themselves. I mean, bull semen? Seriously? Fuck them and their ballad bullshit.
