With the deadline just 17 days away Cuzittt took stock of the upper minors today to see if there was possibly any help on the way.

Tomorrow, we'll have the lower minors.

Do the Red Sox have enough in the upper minors to sustain a playoff run, or will they have to use some of it to acquire some starting pitching or a left fielder to keep up with the rest of the AL?

The follow up piece includes the younger assets that the Sox still have after last week's deals that they can include to improve the team. Some of the names are big ones you're familiar with, and others are guys who have progressed this season to increase their value.

Kyri Washington, drafted in the 15th round in the 2015 Rule 4 Draft, has been the offensive surprise of the season. In his first season in Greenville, Washington has slashed .275/.337/.536 with 17 doubles, four triples, and a dozen four-baggers. The corner outfielder has also exhibited defensive prowess with three assists in 42 games.
