ND really could have taken this game at any point in the 2nd half and always just made the mistake instead of the play. What a bunch of chokers.
Don't know why Spanarkel is criticizing that inbounds play. It works a lot but was defended well......credit to ND and Brey.

I thought they played very very well defensively. Challenged majority of Princeton's shots and didn't allow more than 1-2 backdoor baskets.
They seemed slow and sort of spacey all game to me. The defense is fine, but they need to play to their strengths offensively if they hope to make it any further...that includes making free throws. But in the tourney, a win is a win - survive and advance!
When do you fire him and go with someone else? 17 years incredibly successful, but sometimes you gotta make a change. He can't get them to the final 4 it's pretty obvious by now.
Few has a long leash and wont get fired unless the team struggles mightily over multiple years.

Strange that the WCC, a conference usually rated between 8th and 12th, still plays their tourney so early. The games are after 11 ET anyway, it's not like they are competing against much on TV.
My +11 Winthrop is at least turning somewhat interesting as they bring it back into single digits.
Your description of Johnson is literally the reason I took them (and +11 is high, I don't know about this new Big East beyond NOVA)

The other two games I like are Vermont +9 vs Purdue (upset wouldn't surprise me at all here) and North Dakota +17.5 vs Arizona. The latter is a similar setup to SDSU/Gonzaga. Team peaking at right time with high scoring guard and good complementary shooters vs a team who doesn't figure to be focused for 40 minutes.
If they come out sleepwalking I will lead the calls to fire Few. He is a great motivator and I cant imagine he was anything but "fired up" at half time
Only 4 FT for Winthrop, while Butler has attempted 21. Johnsons and Cooks alone combine to average over 11 FT attempts per game. Neither have been to the line once.
I've kind of had enough of the really good team never makes it to the final 4. They are my team and after 17 years I wanna see a final 4 berth. They have blown it many years and change can be good
There is a strong chance that without Few Gonzaga would quickly become irrelevant. I think you are really underappreciating one of the best coaches in the game. How many straight years has he made the tournament?

In the past they had halftime shows that were different than the ones shown on TV. This year, they just plug in the one that is on TV.
