This year and last year there is more of a gap between the top teams and the bottom teams. I think the Sweet 16 will be pretty close to chalk. Maybe 2-3 teams out of the top 4 seeds.
Fully agree.

At that point though I think it will be fairly wide open. 10-12 teams that can reasonably win it all IMO.

I would not have picked Jordan Matthews as the leading scorer for Gonzaga but I'll take it

Still kicking myself for not sticking with my Princeton +6.5 bet, and instead waited for it to drop - which it did to 5.5 and then jumping on ND. Just a stupid decision on my part.

I really liked all the dogs in the first set of games, and it looks like other than Butler who covered by 1 (yuck), the rest of the dogs may all cover. Princeton has. UNCW has. SD State now has. I am not sure Bucknell can hang, but E. Tennesee St is looking good so far.

Feel like a common theme of these early games is the underdog getting a bit starstruck when they take a lead or get close and just jacking up NBA-range 3s instead of sticking with their offense. UNCW, Princeton and East Tennessee have all done this already.

When did you relax in SB XLVIII? After the Harvin KO return or the Kearse pinball TD? For me, it was the latter.
Pinball TD without a doubt. Before that I was just in shock that it was actually happening. No so much a sense of dread but more of a "this has to be a dream, right?"

Yeah, it just set in that "Holy shit, we're actually going to win this? What do I do now?"

The pinball wasn't a TD, right?
I am unsure of which game you are referencing but we are talking about the terrible tackling by a Denver Broncos team during Superbowl 48 ... Im not sure why SuperBowl 49 doesn't exist and the NFL just skipped a yaer and moved to 50

This is awesome. Well done sir. I'm a Gonzaga fan from afar, so please get it done this year.

Sorry, I was just confused. I assume the pinball TD was against Denver? I don't remember the play.
Most people had turned the game off at that point. It was the TD that Kearse caught over the middle and broke 5(?) tackles on the way to a TD

Watching Denver get killed was glorious but I think I had half an eye of the game by the time the pinball play happened. I have no recollection. I do remember the snap over the head, though. :)

That game was over on the pick 6. Or maybe the kickoff return.

Worth noting that down 22-0, Denver went for a 4th and 2 from the 20 with a minute to play in the half. Pats kicked a field goal in a somewhat similar situation.

It was a blatant marketing ploy by the NFL, trying to get to the magical number of 50.

And one of the best 12 seeds you'll come across too. While this is an upset by seed, according to Vegas it is not.

Hope tonight's games are a bit better. Afternoon was honestly a little bit of a let down.
