VPN trouble? Or something else?

I am trying to watch the Olympics from overseas. I have a VPN set up on my Mac (Express VPN) and using a friend's Fios account to watch. I had no problem watching a soccer game the other day using NBC Sports Gold (subscription service), but when I log into the NBC Olympics website with my friend's Fios login, it just puts me in an endless loop of re-entering her login, and I never get to see the content.

Is there something wrong with my VPN? Or is it that NBC knows IP addresses for VPN servers? Or something else entirely?

I had the same issue and couldn't figure out how to get it to work. I decided to log onto a Canadian VPN instead and using the CBC website instead, which I find to be a lot better than NBC's coverage. So that's an option if you aren't tied to the American broadcast teams.

Wait, but is the CBC broadcast also tied with a cable supplier?

I am having trouble with NBC as well.

I'm not sure if it's supposed to be, but I sure as heck don't have a CBC account (or any other TV service) and I can watch every event replay on their site with ease. And it's nice that they actually understand curling and biathlon rules.

That’s great - thank you! I will give that a try.

My guess is that the VPN isn't enough, your IP should be identified as a Verizon IP.

The issue here in the dynamic IP address. The system recognizes you every time as a new user. And yeas the issue here in your VPN. And don't listen to any advice on forums about VPN provider to choose. Look up in Reddit. It's well moderated and scam-protected. Try to look there for a good provider vpn reddit
