With OAK on the road the next 2 weeks, this might be the last NFL game ever played on a diamond. Next home game is 10/8, after the A's season will have already come to merciful end.
They'll be in Oakland next year...at a minimum. Still skeptical Vegas is finished on time.

But yeah, that's kind of amazing. There were baseball parks hosting games in Year 1 of the NFL back in 1920 (including Wrigley, which hosted the Chicago Tigers and then the Bears continuously until 1971* so the NFL literally has no memory of not playing games on a baseball diamond.

*Wrigley held the record for most NFL games hosted until Lambeau broke it a few years ago.

And then Patterson takes the handoff and runs it in. The guy is trying to resurrect his career and he's dogging it on the last 30 yards and was almost caught by two people.
Yeah, I really don't understand some of these guys. Patterson is one of those guys that almost no one can catch.

Denver trying to literally hand the game to Dallas. Simien fumbles, Dallas TD, and then they fumble the kickoff, but Denver recovered.

Semien actually looks good. Nothing flashy but seems to make good decisions and to read the defense fairly quickly. With that defense, and Anderson looking like he can rip off some decent runs, they could be formidable.

Broncos kick a field goal, but a lawrence gets called for leverage. 15 yard penalty and first down. Broncos score a few plays later.

What a pathetically weak call. The center literally stayed underneath him and looked like he made no effort to block Lawrence. Almost as if he was trying to draw the leverage call.

If you look "pathetically weak call" up in a dictionary (or better yet, google it for anyone under the age of 40 who has no clue what a dictionary is), you'll see "Aka, Denver Broncos".........this team has had a horseshoe up their collective asses since the first time they were gifted a trip to the Super Bowl back in 1978 thanks to a fumble that wasn't. It's what they're famous for.

And right on cue, there's a chicken shit offensive pass interference call on Bryant; both players were hand checking, but the calls goes against Dallas because, you know, Denver=pathetically weak call.

I've never seriously considered not watching football for 6+ hours every Sunday...but watching Benny Fowler try to run off the field made me extremely uncomfortable.

I feel like it has been 10 years since the Chargers have held on to beat a team that the Patriots would like to lose.

Almost FG range... cue rookie kicker. And the Fish have 2 timeouts left to screw with him.
I'm going with ball hits left upright, then hits the right upright, then lands on the crossbar, wobbles for ten seconds, starts to fall forward, then the ball explodes and falls harmlessly to the ground.
