Robertson and Keïta really seem to enjoy playing off each other.

Despite 4 goals in, Fabianski acquitted himself well. The real issue is that high line. Why in the world would Pelligrini go on the road to a top-6 side and try to play a high line? Especially since his guys are so clearly unused to it? At home or against bottom-half sides sure, but today it killed the team.

To really pick some nits, Alisson didn't have a lot to do but there were at least two kicks he made playing out of the back that didn't go where he wanted/was aiming. Neither turned into anything other than a couple of nervy moments but I'd keep my eye on that to see if it develops into a problem.

City starting without KDB and David Silva. Will be interesting to see if they are as effective with Gundogan and Silva the Younger in the free-8 roles.

19 year old French midfielder Guendouzi is stayings for Arsenal.

Emery is certainly not starting off his management career for Arsenal conservatively.

All squads should have such problems.

Who’s in the Batman mask? Ederson?

How long until the Arsenal crowd turn on the team? I know it's early doors in the season but i'm getting a mid-season Arsenal vibe here.

Not that he's getting a lot of help from his teammates, but Guendouzi looks totally overmatched in midfield

This game really showing the importance of a goalkeeper who can play the ball with his feet. Cech almost scores into his own net, while Ederson is calmly distributing to his defenders and breaking Arsenal's press.

LOL.

That pass attempt by Cech was horrific, but Emerson has looked shaky with the ball at his feet all game long as well.

Thing is the entire league (minus City of course) is rooting for Arsenal to get a result here. They had a few brief openings where two or three quality passes might have yielded a clear cut chance, but they couldn't get it together. The work in progress is in defense and midfield, but going forward they can open City up.

Mon the Gooners.

As the pre-match commentators said, MC wins this and there’s not much in the way of them starting the season with 21 points in the first seven matches.

Well there was a couple of Arsenal players jogging towards the box as Silva was waiting for the ball and there was a couple of Arsenal players in the box scratching their arses, and the number five looked like he moved away from the ball instead of John Terrying up and getting his body in the line of fire.

Torreira & Lacazette have looked sharp. Torreira, in particular, has been moving the ball smartly and active in defense. HIs feet don't stop moving.

Now, why didn't these two start?
