Kevin Fiala just lost his left knee and maybe more on a (clean) hit. gifs out there on twitter, I won't link them. Ouch.
He was stretchered out and they're taking a 5 minute delay.

I don't think I've ever seen them do this break thing before after an injury. It's eerie.

I just watched the replay of the injury. The first thing that came to mind was Stephane Yelle breaking his leg and badly spraining his ankle with the Flames when they played the Bruins in 2006.

Confirmed as a fractured femur, out the rest of the season. He's 20, not older, so he could have a better bounce-back than Chris Kelly did this season after his 2015-2016 season ended with a similar issue.

Is there a reason not to root for Edmonton? Chiarelli, Lucic, Balls, McDavid, a long suffering fan base, and a great story. I'm all in on the Oilers this year.

Just abolish replay altogether. Embrace the speed and excitement of the game. Because whatever they have now isn't working.

Agreed. Though I enjoy the Ducks and Nasvhille as well. Really, as long as Ottawa or Washington don't win, I'm pretty okay with whatever.

Double penalty on one play against St. Louis. That was crazy, I don't know if I ever saw that before. 2 minute 5 on 3, Nashville down 1-0.

Holy crap, I'd have never believed it if I didn't watch it myself. Anaheim down 3-0 with less than 4 minutes to go and they just sent it to OT with 15 seconds left.

I don't know how I'll stay awake. I missed a big chunk of the third.

Another playoff game another goalie interference controversy, rinse repeat.

They need to overhaul that rule in the off-season and take as much of the grey area out of it as possible. Kessler gets knocked into the goalie but then sets up camp in the crease on top of Talbot leading to the game tying goal. If you are pushed into the goalie you should at least have to make an effort to get out of the way or it should be interference. Apparently the review took under 30 seconds which is ridiculous in a playoff game.

Goalie interference is a travesty right now, especially because it's so inconsistent.

Say what you will about offsides challenges, and I don't like them, but they rarely blow a call, even if it is annoying. But goalie interference calls are different every single time. There is no consistency.

Nashville finishes off St. Louis. Bruins draft pick goes from 19 to 18 as a result, so that's nice.

Nashville seems as good as any bandwagon to jump on. Montreal would burn to the ground if Subban wins a Cup.

I think Nashville vs whichever other team comes out of the west is going to be a really fun series. Rinne has the ability to absolutely take over games, and the team in front of him is pretty damn good as it is. I think all of those teams match up really well with each other.

Oh man, so close to an awesome opportunity with like 4 seconds left. Anaheim vs Nashville is going to be a really fun series, though.
