- 6/9 - Boston 7, Baltimore 6

- 7/19 (1) - Boston 9, Baltimore 7
Trailing by a score of 7-3 heading into the home half of the 9th, a win seemed far fetched for the Red Sox. Boston still trailed by four with two outs in the inning, but Jimmy Piersall's bases loaded double plated two, cutting the deficit in half. Ted Williams was given a free pass to load the bases once again. The move did not pay off for the Orioles.
Off-season acquisition Mickey Owen was in the midst of his only year with Boston, and his final year in the big leagues after breaking in with the St. Louis Cardinals in 1937. He was only in this game after pinch running for Sammy White in the 8th. He mad the best of his chance, launching a game winning grand slam giving the Sox a miraculous win.

- 8/21 - Boston 10, New York 9 - 12 innings
After Russ Kemmerer allowed the Yankees to take a one run advantage in their half of the 12th, Sammy White got things started with one down for the Red Sox in the home half. His single, followed by walks from Billy Consolo and Mickey Owen loaded the bases. Billy Goodman lined back to the pitcher, so it all came down to Don Lenhardt. He reached Whitey Ford for a single and Consolo raced home from second to give the Sox the comeback win over New York.http://www.sonsofsamhorn.net/wiki/index.php?title=1954_Red_Sox_Walk_Offs&action=edit Editing 1954 Red Sox Walk Offs - SoSH | Boston Red Sox | Red Sox Rumors | Spring Training | Pawtucket Red Sox

Less than a month after being claimed on waivers from the Orioles, Sam Mele returned to Boston for his second stint with the ballclub with a bang.
A Ted Lepcio single started the 11th for the Red Sox and took 2nd base on an outfield error. After a bunt by Billy Consolo that did not advance the runner, pitcher Ellis Kinder laid down a successful sacrifice and moved Lepcio to 3rd. It was now Mele time and he came through with a walkoff base knock.
- 9/21 (1) - Boston 4, Philadelphia 3 - 10 innings
In a heavy rain, Billy Goodman led off the 10th with a single and moved to second after Ted Williams drew a walk. The stage was now set for Jackie Jensen, and he didn't disappoint, delivering the game-winning single off the A's Sonny Dixon.
