- 4/29 - Rick Monday homered off Don McMahon in the 15th inning to give the A's a 10-9 lead. Tony Conigliaro then singled to Start Boston's 15th. After a sacrifice bunt and George Scott single, runners stood at first and third when Dalton Jones hit for Russ Gibson and walked, loading the bases. Jose Tartabull was then called upon to bat for Mike Andrews. Tartabull delivered a single, scoring Tony C and Scott to win in 15.
Boston 11, Kansas City 10 - 15 innings
- 5/19 - Down by one in the 9th, Reggie Smith tripled home Jose Tartabull with the tying run off Indians starter Gary Bell. Orlando Pena then replaced Bell and quickly gave up the game winning single to Tony Horton, scoring Smith from third.
- 6/15 - Ken Berry drove home Walt Williams to give the White Sox a 1-0 lead in the 11th. With two outs in the Red Sox 11th, Joe Foy singled to keep the game going for Tony Conigliaro. Tony C came through, clubbing a two run walk-off blast off John Buzhardt. Red Sox starting pitcher Gary Waslewski pitched 9 innings of shutout ball before handing off to John Wyatt who received the win.
Boston 2, Chicago 1 - 11 innings
- 7/27 - Trailing by 3 runs in the 9th, Joe Foy launched a two-run bomb off Angels starter Jim McGlothlin, bringing the Sox within one. Clyde Wright then got Carl Yastrzemski to fly out before handing the ball off to Bill Kelso to face Tony Conigliaro. Conigliaro got the better of the matchup, going deep to tie the game at 5. In the 10th, Reggie Smith led off with a triple and scored the winning run when Paul Schaal could not handle Jerry Adair's sharp grounder.
Boston 6, California 5 - 10 innings
- 8/21 - Jerry Adair doubled to start the 9th inning in a tie game. After a Carl Yastrzemski sac bunt that moved him to third, George Scott and Reggie Smith were intentionally walked to create a force at every base. It did not matter, as Elston Howard singled home Adair to give the Sox the win.
