- 5/21 - The Red Sox rallied from a 9-6 deficit in the 9th to overtake the Brewers 10-9 in regulation. The Sox tied the game on a Jim Rice homer, a George Scott RBI double, and a Dwight Evans RBI single. But the real action occurred on a Butch Hobson double-play ball. Hobson hit a grounder to Sal Bando at third, Bando threw to second to start the twin-killing, but Evans barrelled in on Don Money, causing him to drop the ball, allowing Carlton Fisk to sneak in with the winning run.
Boston 10, Milwaukee 9
- 6/12 - Bernie Carbo singled to lead off the 9th with the score knotted at 2, and was then replaced by pinch-runner Rick Miller. Miller would eventually reach third base and score on a Fred Lynn sacrifice fly to win. Reggie Cleveland collected the Complete Game victory, allowing two runs on seven hits. It was the first of two complete games for the Red Sox on the day. Luis Tiant pitched a 3-hit shutout in the second game of the double-header.

- 6/13 - Carlton Fisk singled with the bases loaded in the 10th inning off Larry Anderson, scoring Rick Burleson to walk-off with a win for the second day in a row.
